Are you a talented Business Performance & Planning Analyst ready to make a significant impact in the insurance industry? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Performance Steering Team. As a key player in our organization, you will leverage your financial expertise to drive strategic insights and decision-making, helping us enhance business performance and achieve our corporate objectives.

 

The Performance & Steering (P&S) team sits within Allianz Benelux’s Finance Department, and is responsible for steering Allianz’s financial performance in the Benelux region. As such, we are a key business partner to senior stakeholders in and outside our company. Including regional Board members such as CEO and CFO, likewise with the Chief Investment Officer, Chief Product Officer, Chief Risk Officer and our Group headquarters in Munich.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, providing insights into variances and trends. Offer recommendations for improvement and prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management
  • Productivity Steering: Steer productivity KPIs and establish processes to translate insights into tangible business implications during the year and the Planning dialogue. Incorporate scenario analysis on productivity KPIs
  • Planning and Control Cycle: Play a key role in creating our multiyear financial planning. Together with Finance colleagues and business owners identify trends in our performance and translate this into achievable targets for our company
  • Holistic Financial Perspective: Gather and connect data from P&C, Life, and Cost teams to construct a holistic perspective of our financials. Create a cohesive storyline that highlights key insights and supports strategic decision-making
  • Process Automation & AI Integration: Drive the automation of financial processes and integrate AI-powered solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and analytical capabilities. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and leverage advanced analytics for deeper business insights

 

 

Your profile:

  • Have the intrinsic drive and skills to work with a very talented team of individuals in an international environment
  • Ability to analyze complex data and extract meaningful insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Power BI/DAX) with a passion for automation and process optimization
  • Experience or strong interest in AI/machine learning applications in finance, with the ability to identify and implement automation opportunities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey insights and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams
  • Have a Master’s degree in finance, econometrics/statistics, actuarial, physics or in another relevant field
  • +2-year experience in Finance / Controlling / Actuarial / Risk
  • Experience of IFRS17 is a plus, but not required
  • Communicate fluently in English, and preferably also in French and/or Dutch
