Lead Actuarial Innovation as Chief Actuary at Allianz Benelux.

As Chief Actuary, you will oversee the reserving for Life and P&C insurance obligations across local, IFRS, and Solvency II frameworks. Reporting directly to the CFO Benelux you will lead a high-caliber, multi-disciplinary and highly motivated team of 28 people As a leader with a key role in the organization, you will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative data and modelling solutions to enhance reporting and business performance, acting as a key advisor to the Board of Management.

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Actuarial team vision: Combine technical expertise in reserving with proven leadership and change management skills, demonstrating the motivation and energy required to drive continuous improvement in a fast-evolving environment.
  • Team Empowerment: Inspire and foster the development of a high caliber, thereby ambitious, actuarial team in a culture of excellence and growth.
  • Reporting Excellence: Ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and progressively increase reporting granularity.
  • Project Leadership: Drive finance projects (e.g., Internal Model) and participate in Group forums on actuarial developments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor processes to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Derive strategic analysis from analytical output, supporting the Board of Management and Group’s decision making.
  • Product Development: Support the business in developing new profitable products.

 

Your Profile:

You possess excellent technical and communication skills, with experience in complex, global organizations. Your leadership skills enable you to connect with diverse teams, managing experts ideally in an international environment. You have strong risk analysis, accounting, and reserving skills, complemented by planning and reporting expertise. A Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, or Actuarial Sciences is required, with proficiency in presentation, communication, and project steering. Familiarity with AZ Insurance Know-How is advantageous.
