Shape the future. Lead the transformation. Build what's next.

Allianz Benelux is at a defining moment for future-proofing its business model. We are driving a multi-year regional transformation across the Benelux – end-to-end process transformation, applying AI at scale, and a significant uplift in customer, broker, and business impact. As Chief Transformation Officer, you will be the driving force behind the execution of our company-wide transformation journey and the architect of our enterprise Data and AI agenda.

As Chief Transformation Officer, you will be reporting directly to the Regional CEO and be part of the company’s Executive Committee. This is one of the most strategically significant leadership roles in the organization – a full-time, senior executive position with regional scope across Allianz Benelux. You will own Allianz Benelux's strategic transformation portfolio, lead the Data & AI Office, and oversee a multidisciplinary department including transformation leaders, programme managers and data specialist. You will shape the future operating model, customer experience, and business performance of Allianz Benelux – ensuring that every initiative delivers measurable value for our customers, our people, and the business.

What We Offer:

  • An executive leadership role with direct reporting to the Regional CEO and real strategic influence over the future of Allianz Benelux
  • The opportunity to lead one of the most ambitious transformation programs in the Allianz Group – shaping the operating model, implementing AI, technology platforms, and culture of a major regional insurer
  • Hybrid working model combining office presence across Belgium and the Netherlands with flexibility for remote work
  • Competitive executive compensation package including performance-based bonus and long-term incentive elements
  • Company pension scheme aligned with local Benelux market standards
  • Access to Allianz University and Group-wide leadership development programs, including international mobility and cross-OE exposure
  • A collaborative, inclusive environment where bold thinking, entrepreneurship, and integrity are equally valued

Your Responsibilities:

1. Enterprise Strategy & Transformation

  • Partner with the Regional CEO and Board of Management to shape Allianz Benelux's strategic agenda and translate it into a coherent, executable enterprise transformation roadmap.
  • Own the enterprise transformation agenda across Belgium and the Netherlands, bringing together growth, customer and broker experience, productivity, operating model, technology modernization, Data & AI and workforce transformation.
  • Lead major enterprise-wide transformations from ambition through execution and value realization, ensuring that strategic priorities translate into tangible and sustainable business outcomes.
  • Act as an independent and constructive challenger to the Board of Management on strategic priorities, transformation ambition, investment choices and execution performance.
  • Serve as a catalyst for enterprise change, challenging legacy processes, organizational complexity and established ways of working where these constrain customer value, growth or productivity.

2. Enterprise Portfolio, Performance & Value Delivery

  • Own and steer the strategic transformation portfolio, ensuring capital, resources and management attention are allocated to the initiatives creating the greatest strategic and financial value.
  • Drive rigorous prioritization across business, operations, technology and Data & AI, actively challenging, reshaping or stopping initiatives that do not demonstrate sufficient strategic relevance, execution readiness or value potential.
  • Lead enterprise planning and portfolio governance in close partnership with Finance and the respective Board Members, ensuring clear accountability for investment, execution and outcomes.
  • Establish rigorous performance and benefits-realization disciplines, ensuring transformation commitments translate into measurable P&L impact, productivity, growth, customer outcomes and sustainable business value.
  • Lead executive-level portfolio and performance reviews, including the Quarterly Business Review, and represent Allianz Benelux towards Allianz Group on strategic planning and major transformation programmes.
  • Build and lead a strong enterprise transformation capability, deploying programme and transformation leaders against the organization's most critical priorities.

3. Operating Model, Productivity & Workforce Transformation

  • Shape and implement the future operating model of Allianz Benelux, simplifying the organization and redesigning processes, capabilities and ways of working to improve customer outcomes, speed and efficiency.
  • Drive the structural productivity agenda across the enterprise, combining process simplification, automation, Data & AI, technology modernization, strategic sourcing and organizational redesign.
  • Lead the Strategic Workforce Transformation agenda together with HR and business leaders, anticipating how technology and AI will reshape roles, skills and organizational structures.
  • Translate the future operating model into actionable workforce plans encompassing organizational redesign, workforce evolution, upskilling, reskilling and capability building.
  • Ensure transformation is embedded sustainably in the organization through strong leadership accountability, adoption and change management.

4. Data & AI Strategy and Business Transformation

  • Own Allianz Benelux's enterprise Data & AI strategy and ensure Data, Analytics and AI become material drivers of business performance and competitive advantage.
  • Lead the Data & AI organization and build the capabilities, platforms, governance and talent required to deploy Data & AI safely and effectively at enterprise scale.
  • Accelerate the transition from experimentation to scaled business adoption, embedding AI into customer and broker journeys, underwriting, claims, operations and employee workflows.
  • Establish clear business ownership and value accountability for Data & AI investments, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable growth, customer, productivity or risk outcomes.
  • Partner closely with the CIO, business leaders and Allianz Group to align technology modernization, enterprise architecture, Data & AI capabilities and the broader transformation agenda.

5. Executive & People Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Regional CEO and an active member of the Executive Committee, contributing beyond the direct transformation remit to the overall leadership and performance of Allianz Benelux.
  • Build alignment and shared accountability for transformation across the Executive Committee, while constructively challenging business and functional leaders where ambition, pace or execution need to improve.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing multidisciplinary organization spanning enterprise transformation, programme leadership and Data & AI.
  • Attract and develop exceptional leaders and specialist talent while building transformation and Data & AI capabilities across the wider organization.
  • Represent Allianz Benelux with the Supervisory Board, Allianz Group and relevant external stakeholders on enterprise transformation and Data & AI priorities.

Your Profile:

We are looking for an accomplished enterprise transformation leader who combines strategic perspective, commercial and financial acumen, technology and Data & AI fluency, and exceptional execution capability.

The successful candidate will bring:

  • Significant senior leadership experience in a large, complex organization, with a proven track record of leading enterprise-wide transformations of material scale and complexity.
  • Demonstrated success in translating transformation into measurable business and financial outcomes, including productivity, structural cost improvement, growth, customer experience and/or operational performance.
  • Strong experience in business and operating-model transformation, ideally encompassing organizational redesign, process transformation, technology modernization, strategic sourcing and workforce transformation.
  • A strong understanding of Data, Analytics and AI and a demonstrated ability to use these capabilities as strategic levers of business transformation. Direct leadership of a Data & AI organization is advantageous but not essential.
  • The strategic judgement and executive presence required to operate as a trusted partner and constructive challenger to a CEO, Executive Committee and Supervisory Board.
  • Strong financial and investment discipline, with experience prioritizing complex portfolios and holding senior leaders accountable for execution and benefits realization.
  • Outstanding people leadership, with a track record of building high-performing teams, developing senior talent and mobilizing organizations through significant change.
  • Experience operating effectively in international, multi-country and matrix organizations.

Experience in insurance or broader financial services is strongly preferred, although outstanding candidates from other complex and highly regulated industries may also be considered.

Fluency in English is required. Dutch and/or French would be a significant advantage.
