The IT Economics Manager is part of the Technology Office department within Allianz Benelux and it is responsible for leading the financial governance, planning, and performance steering of the IT portfolio. Acting as a trusted financial business partner to Technology, Finance, and Business stakeholders, the role ensures that IT investments, run costs, and operational expenditures are transparent, well-controlled, and aligned with strategic priorities.
The role oversees Running the Company (RtC) costs, IT financial planning, target setting, cost allocation, and variance analysis. It provides clear insights and recommendations to the COO, CIO, Business Owners, and other stakeholders, supporting executive decision-making while driving cost transparency, benefit realization, and continuous improvement in IT financial management.
Your Responsibilities
IT Financial Planning & Budget Management of RtC costs
- You will lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes for IT Run portfolios.
- Manage multi-year IT financial plans, including CAPEX and OPEX projections.
- Coordinate budget submissions with Allianz Technology, local IT teams, and Finance stakeholders.
- Support plan dialogue exercises (PD cycles) and strategic portfolio planning activities.
- Monitor budget utilization and recommend corrective actions when variances occur.
IT Cost Controlling & Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze IT spending across applications, infrastructure, licenses, vendors, projects, and shared services.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and executive committee presentations.
- Ensure compliance with Allianz Group IT Taxonomy and financial reporting standards.
- Develop financial insights and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure transparency of costs across business units, value chains, applications, and service domains.
- Identify, quantify, and track IT cost-saving initiatives.

Your Profile
- 10+ years of experience in Controlling, Finance, IT, Operations, or consulting, preferably within financial services.
- Strong academic background in IT, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Excellent expertise in financial controlling, planning, budgeting, and operational steering.
- Good understanding of the insurance industry, IT landscapes, and large-scale transformation or implementation programs.
- Proven ability to engage with C-level executives and senior stakeholders in an international environment.
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP Integrated Planning, ServiceNow, and Power BI is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial insights into clear business messages.
- Proactive, collaborative, and improvement-driven mindset with curiosity and willingness to learn.
