Lead Innovation & Automation Services

Role Summary

As Lead Innovation & Automation Services at Allianz Benelux, you will lead and enhance our automation services portfolio, including RPA (currently UiPath), conversational automation (Cognigy), workflow automation, integrations, and workplace automation. While UiPath is our current platform, we expect our automation landscape to evolve beyond traditional RPA, adopting next-generation automation capabilities that improve operational services. You will guide this evolution, expanding the use of current tooling and identifying new opportunities to modernize and improve automation delivery.

This role includes managing nearshore and offshore delivery partners, driving operational excellence, and ensuring consistent, high-quality automation services across the Benelux region. You will work within an Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and enabling iterative, value-driven delivery.

We are seeking someone with a consultancy background, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to deep dive quickly into business processes and operational environments.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate offshore and nearshore delivery teams delivering automation services.
• Ensure effective participation in Agile teams, contributing to planning, refinement, sprint reviews, and continuous improvements.
• Oversee operational delivery across:
• UiPath (RPA and advanced platform features)
• Cognigy conversational and voice automation
• Workflow automation and system integrations
• Workplace automation in collaboration with Allianz Technology Benelux
• Identify where traditional automation adds value and where next-generation automation capabilities can enhance service delivery.
• Support the evolution of UiPath usage through the adoption of its modern functionalities.
• Continuously improve service stability, quality, performance, and user experience.
• Conduct deep dives into business processes to identify automation opportunities and define scalable solutions.
• Manage external delivery partners to ensure consistent performance, SLA compliance, and high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with IT, architecture, and business stakeholders across Rotterdam, Brussels, and the broader Allianz network.
• Monitor service performance and drive enhancements across processes, delivery models, and tools.
• Contribute to the introduction of new automation capabilities that complement and strengthen the existing service portfolio.

Your Profile

You are an experienced professional with 5+ years of consultancy experience in automation, workflow analysis, and product owner roles. You bring proven expertise in managing nearshore/offshore or vendor-based teams and have demonstrated success in introducing innovative automation concepts and bringing them into operational use.

You combine a strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You are fluent in at least two of the following languages: English, Dutch, and French, and you are able to work in both Rotterdam and Brussels.
