What will you do?

As manager of our dedicated Reporting and Accounting Policies team, you will supervise 5 skilled professionals responsible for reporting and closing management for our 8 companies, including pension funds; holding, real estate and insurance companies. As Accountant Expert, next to analysis and controls, you’ll be part of projects to continuously improve our processes.

Your responsibilities:

  • Manages the Reporting and Accounting policies accounting team in monitoring daily activities, ensuring back-ups, developing team members.
  • Ensures the timely and correct delivery of technical analysis, reports and controls, while continuously seeking for ways to meet or exceed business needs.
  • Supervise production of annual financial statements including disclosures, statistical information and qualitative reporting (SFCR, RSR).
  • Actively participate in our SimpliFi project (change of our Accounting Platform to SAP S/4HANA).
  • Leads the processes optimization : standardization, simplification and automation.
  • Refines and upgrades the internal controls framework : review of scope (entities, accounts, feeders), tasks reallocation within the team, increase the level of analysis (aging, analytical review…), standardize and automate as much as possible, update the documentation.
  • Seeks cross-border collaboration to boost the quality of services delivered and create synergies

Is this you?

You have good technical knowledge and experience in Insurance Finance.  You also have leadership and ability to connect with others.

Furthermore, you bring:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance and/or insurance (accounting, controlling, actuarial, audit).
  • A University Degree (preferably Accounting, Economics or Finance).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and French (minimum B2) – Dutch would be a plus
  • A good knowledge of IFRS 17/9 regulation and SAP is needed
