Replatforming Operating Model Lead
Bruxelles, BE, 1210 Rotterdam, NL, 3012AG
What if you could orchestrate the operational transformation behind a multi-million euro program reshaping the future of insurance?
Allianz Benelux is running one of the most ambitious transformation programs in the European insurance industry — a multi-year, multi-million euro initiative to modernize our platforms, harmonize operations across Belgium and the Netherlands, and build the foundations for AI-driven insurance.
As Replatforming Operating Model Lead, you'll be the program’s operational backbone. You'll own the Target Operating Model design, steer cross-program progress, and lead organizational readiness — ensuring that people, processes, and technology converge toward one coherent future state. Reporting to the Program Director within the COO Office, you'll challenge, connect, and align all moving parts so that ambition becomes reality.
What We Offer:
- A strategic role at the heart of one of Europe's largest insurance transformation programs
- Direct exposure to Board, Group, and C-level stakeholders
- Oversight of significant program spend and full accountability for operational coherence
- A cross-border scope covering Belgium and the Netherlands
- Access to cutting-edge platforms, modern architectures, and AI-enabled operating models
- Professional development, executive visibility, and long-term career growth within Allianz
- Flexible hybrid working model with a focus on work-life balance
- Competitive salary package with comprehensive benefits
Your Responsibilities:
- Target Operating Model Design: Design and evolve the future-state operating model across processes, people, technology, and governance — spanning P&C, Employee Benefits, and Individual Life. Ensure the TOM enables agreed targets on cost to serve, productivity, customer NPS, and cross-border integration.
- Cross-Programme Progress Steering: Maintain a consolidated master plan across all building blocks. Operate dashboards, risk registers, and dependency trackers. Challenge sub-program leads on milestones, delivery quality, and resource utilization — escalating persistent gaps to the Program Director.
- Organizational Readiness & Workforce Transition: Define and drive the people dimension of transformation. Lead workforce transition planning in collaboration with HR — covering role redesign, skills gap analysis, redeployment pathways, and day-1 operational readiness for each go-live milestone.
- PMO Leadership & Governance: Own the program governance calendar, steer all major forums (Steering Committee, Board updates, Group reviews), and deliver concise, evidence-based reporting with clear recommendations to COO and Board.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the connective tissue across sub-program leads, Operations Directors, AzTech, Group P&R, and Group Finance — ensuring coherence and driving convergence where design conflicts arise.
- Readiness Monitoring & Reporting: Track organizational readiness KPIs (training completion, role mapping, workforce transition milestones, engagement scores) and ensure audit-readiness of all program documentation.
- External & Regulatory Awareness: Monitor regulatory changes, vendor developments, and Group program shifts — translating implications into timely program adjustments.
Your Profile:
- You are a seasoned transformation leader with extensive experience in program management, Target Operating Model design, or large-scale transformation delivery. You've led PMO functions for complex, multi-workstream programs and have a proven track record of designing and evolving operating models in insurance or financial services.
- You bring hands-on experience managing organizational readiness and workforce transitions during major change programs — ensuring that people, skills, and structures are prepared well before go-live. You've operated across multiple countries (ideally Belgium and the Netherlands, or a comparable multi-country context) and are comfortable navigating complex stakeholder landscapes involving Board, Group, and operational leaders.
- You hold a Master's degree. PMP, Prince2, or an equivalent certification is considered an asset. You are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French is considered a strong asset. At Allianz, we're always on the lookout for individuals who are enthusiastic about AI and Data Analytics to shape the future and drive innovation across our organization.
What sets you apart:
- Target Operating Model design expertise — translating strategic ambition into actionable operational blueprints
- Strong PMO and program governance capabilities at scale
- Deep understanding of insurance operations (P&C, Life, Employee Benefits)
- Organizational change and workforce transition management
- Exceptional structured problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder facilitation skills
- The ability to challenge senior leaders with evidence, clarity, and constructive tension
