What if you could ensure every euro of a major transformation programme delivers real business value?

Allianz Benelux is investing in a multi-year, multi-million euro programme to fundamentally transform its operating model — replacing legacy mainframe infrastructure with modern platforms, harmonising operations across Belgium and the Netherlands, and laying the groundwork for AI-driven insurance.

As Replatforming Value Steering Lead, you are the single point of accountability for the financial health and value delivery of this entire programme. Sitting within the COO Office, you'll shape investment decisions, safeguard financial rigour across all building blocks, and translate programme ambition into credible, well-governed financial plans. From business case ownership to benefit realisation — you make sure transformation pays off.

What We Offer:

  • A core finance role at one of Europe's largest insurance transformation programs
  • Direct engagement with Board of Management, Group Finance, and C-level stakeholders
  • Significant program spend oversight with full accountability for value delivery
  • A cross-border mandate covering Belgium and the Netherlands
  • Access to cutting-edge transformation methodologies, platforms, and AI-enabled operating models
  • Professional development, executive visibility, and long-term career growth within Allianz
  • Flexible hybrid working model with a focus on work-life balance
  • Competitive salary package with comprehensive benefits

Your Responsibilities:

  • Financial Governance & Planning: Own the program business case end-to-end. Lead multi-year budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario modelling across all building blocks. Provide timely variance analysis, support investment approval processes, and ensure cost control and financial transparency.
  • Benefit Realization Tracking: Establish a structured benefit realization framework covering financial benefits (cost savings, efficiency gains) and strategic benefits (growth enablement, AI readiness, operational resilience). Define KPIs, agree baselines, and hold the program accountable for delivering promised value.
  • Value Realization & KPI Ownership: Define and own target KPIs across all replatforming streams — including STP rate, FTE savings, AI-driven savings, self-service rate, and BPO rate. Validate that each program wave delivers operational value, not just technical go-live. Own the consolidated value narrative for Board and Group reporting.
  • Future Run Costs & Operating Model Finance: Model and validate future-state cost-to-serve for Belgium and the Netherlands post-transformation. Quantify the financial impact of operating model changes, mainframe exit, process harmonization, and AI adoption.
  • Financial Processing & Accounting Treatment: Ensure correct P&L processing aligned with Allianz Group standards, local GAAP, and IFRS17 requirements. Liaise with Finance, Actuarial, Tax, and Accounting teams for consistent treatment across Life and Non-Life.
  • Finance Leadership Across Building Blocks: Act as Finance lead for all streams (P&C, Employee Benefits, Individual Life, Mainframe Exit, Transversals). Embed financial governance, coach programme teams on accountability, and consolidate building-block financials into a coherent portfolio view for Board and Group stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Alignment & Reporting: Lead financial steering with Allianz Group executives and Benelux Board members. Deliver decision-grade reporting, surface financial risks proactively, and ensure transparency on investment priorities and business case evolution.

Your Profile:

  • You are a senior finance professional with substantial experience in program finance, transformation finance, or financial planning within insurance or financial services. You have a proven track record managing multi-workstream program budgets at scale, with Board-level reporting and governance experience.
  • You bring strong expertise in business case development, benefit modelling, and cost-to-serve analysis, combined with hands-on experience in value realization frameworks and KPI governance within transformation programs. You're comfortable consolidating financial data across multiple independent workstreams and translating complex financials into clear, decision-grade insights for senior stakeholders.
  • You have strong advisory and stakeholder management skills — you challenge constructively, communicate with clarity, and build trust at executive level. Experience with change management methodologies (Agile) is an asset, as is knowledge of IFRS17 and Allianz Group financial standards.
  • You hold a Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or equivalent. You are fluent in English. Dutch and/or French is considered a strong asset. At Allianz, we're always on the lookout for individuals who are enthusiastic about AI and Data Analytics to shape the future and drive innovation across our organization.

What sets you apart:

  • Programme finance and investment governance at scale
  • Business case ownership and benefit modelling expertise
  • Cost-to-serve analysis and operating model finance
  • Financial reporting, variance analysis, and scenario planning
  • KPI design and value realisation frameworks
  • Insurance operations knowledge and understanding of Target Operating Models
  • Strong communication, presentation, and senior stakeholder management skills
