POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Support Tourism plays a pivotal role as the operational and performance conductor between Key Account Managers (KAM), Business Partners (BPs), and internal teams. The role provides expert-level operational, analytical, and administrative support to frontline sales teams— business developers (new business), account managers (renewals/portfolio), and field managers— as well as external partners.
Sales Support Tourism is responsible for managing business relationships with Travel Agencies, Insurance Agencies, and/or Tour Operators within an assigned territory. This role combines business development, account management, and sales strategy to achieve sales targets for insurance products while ensuring strong, long-term partnerships. The role involves acquiring new clients, developing the existing portfolio, and providing training and support to distributors.
In addition, the role ensures a seamless partner experience by coordinating internal stakeholders, monitoring performance, driving process improvements, and maintaining compliance with governance and service standards. Through these activities, the position contributes directly to partner satisfaction, loyalty, and sustainable commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partner Relationship & Satisfaction
- Serve as the daily point of contact for assigned Business Partners, actively listening to needs and addressing operational questions or issues.
- Anticipate partner needs and proactively address potential dissatisfaction to ensure a distinctive partner experience.
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with Business Partners to support retention and satisfaction.
- Act as the internal advocate for Business Partners, promoting a BP-culture and customer centricity within Allianz Partners.
- Frontline Sales & Partner Support
- Provide hands-on operational and administrative support to business developers, account managers, and field managers, enabling them to focus on relationship-building, selling, and retention.
- Support partner inquiries, onboarding activities, documentation, issue resolution, and ongoing account operational follow-up.
- Act as a trusted internal liaison between sales teams, partners, and operational stakeholders.
3. Operational Management & Internal Coordination
- Coordinate key internal stakeholders (Operations, Operations Management, Underwriting, Product, Finance, Legal, Compliance, IT) to ensure service quality, SLA adherence, and contractual compliance.
- Master internal processes and systems to ensure smooth execution of partner-related activities.
- Collaborate closely with operations management and internal teams to manage BP-related initiatives, enhancements, and improvement projects.
- Proposal, Tender & Pricing Coordination
- Support and coordinate tender responses, RFPs, proposals, and related documentation.
- Gather, validate, and consolidate inputs across functions to ensure compliant pricing and proposal accuracy.
- Ensure alignment with standardized templates, sales strategy, and governance requirements.
- Deal Implementation, Onboarding & Change Management
- Coordinate the operational setup and onboarding of new Business Partners, portfolio expansions, and product or contractual changes.
- Develop timelines, track deliverables, and support configuration, testing, and go-live readiness.
- Support change management activities to ensure smooth implementation of new partners, tools, or processes.
- Performance Analysis & Enhancement
- Prepare performance dashboards, KPI summaries, and operational reporting for internal stakeholders and Business Partners.
- Participate in the preparation of committees and reviews, presenting operational results and service performance.
- Interpret, explain, and translate performance and quality indicators into actionable insights.
- Work closely with Operations to identify and deploy innovative solutions aimed at improving performance and partner satisfaction.
- Support Commercial Development
- Proactively support KAMs and Business Partners in identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of prospect and partner meetings by providing operational, performance, and field insights.
- Contribute operational expertise to commercial discussions, renewals, and growth initiatives.
8. Systems, Tools & Sales Administration
- Serve as a key user for CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
- Maintain accurate partner data, opportunities, account structures, and documentation.
- Support adoption of new tools, features, templates, and reporting processes.
- Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data, analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use
9. Governance, Compliance & Licensing
- Support governance activities related to sales processes, partner documentation, audits, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, service-level agreements, and reporting standards.
10. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve workflows, reporting, and data management.
- Maintain and update playbooks, guidelines, and operational processes to ensure consistency and quality.

Minimum Qualifications
(adaptable per market)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years’ experience in sales support, account coordination, partner operations, or similar roles.
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar).
- Strong communication skills; French/Dutch mandatory, English preferred.
