JOB SUMMARY

The Procurement Operation Officer will oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of the Allianz Partners procurement process, ensuring seamless operations and user satisfaction within the ARIBA system. Your role is pivotal in resolving user issues promptly, providing clear guidance to Allianz Partner staff, and enabling providers in the ARIBA ecosystem. This includes process optimization, system facilitation, compliance through supplier onboarding, and fostering a smooth procurement experience aligned with operational excellence supported by AI-driven insights and automation.

WHAT YOU DO

STRATEGIC ALIGNMENT

  • Oversee and enhance the AzP procurement process, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with the standard for Procurement
  • Lead and manage procurement operations within the ARIBA system, driving operational excellence and user satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within procurement teams

PROCUREMENT OPERATION OVERSIGHT AND COMPLIANCE

  • Oversee supplier onboarding, contract storage and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
  • Work closely with finance, legal, and compliance teams to align procurement processes
  • Drive the enablement and management of providers within the ARIBA ecosystem, ensuring smooth integration and operational efficiency.

CORE PROCUREMENT TASKS

  • Ensure the seamless operation of the ARIBA system, addressing user issues promptly and optimizing system performance.
  • Provide clear guidelines and best practices for Allianz Partner staff, enabling efficient procurement processing and issue resolution.
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support continuous process improvement in procurement operations.

REPORTING, COLLABORATION AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Monitor and report on Ariba performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure proactive issue resolution and maintain high levels of user satisfaction through ongoing process refinement

WHAT YOU BRING

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement operations, preferably within a multinational or large-scale organization.
  • Hands-on experience managing procurement systems such as ARIBA.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficiency in procurement software (ARIBA, SAP, or similar), Microsoft Excel, and data analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of procurement policies, regulations, and governance frameworks.

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to analyze procurement-related issues, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail with the capability to assess information critically.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with AP teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
  • Quick problem-solving skills to ensure efficient resolution of procurement-related user issues.
  • Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data, analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use.

LANGUEGES

  • Fluency in English and the Italian is mandatory.
