Job role
The Scrum Master is responsible for proactive monitoring and ensuring high quality across the Allianz Global Investors squads & domain. Should take responsibility for coaching and facilitating the work of cross-functional Agile teams. He / she creates stable and self-organized teams with a clear and engaging direction and helps identifying and resolving impediments. He / she is accountable for successfully assessing teams’ needs and provide a suitable Agile approach in addition to providing Agile consultation services to the customer or management upon request.
What you will do
- Supporting the project team in the daily activities acting as a Agile Master.
- Removes various impediments (e.g., organizational, work environmental or mindset related) to protect the team’s progress and acts as its servant leader.
- Coaches the team in self-organization, cross functionality, and Agile methodologies.
- Helps the team to create high value and high-quality products.
- Creates an open-minded working environment and inspiration of the team to continuously improve cooperation and collaboration.
- Facilitates Scrum events as requested or needed.
- Consults the Product Owner in arranging the Product Backlog to maximize value.
- Leads and coaches the respective teams in their Scrum adoption.
- Collaborates with other Agile Masters.
- Overseeing the release sprints and making sure the planned functionality is released within the defined sprint.
- Organizing the Agile ceremonies: Daily Stand up, weekly backlog review and Sprint Planning sessions.
- Supporting the Product Owner enabling handover from project mode to line organization.
What you bring
- Having an Agile mind-set and a wide variety of Agile tools, methods, and knowledge
- Critical Thinking generated by observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, and communication.
- Applying analytical thinking, methodological and conceptual as well as moderation and facilitation skills
- Qualification or corresponding professional experience in IT (at least 4 years in project management or ITSM processes).
- Previous experience as a Scum Master is mandatory.
- Affinity with numbers and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- In-depth knowledge / experience in IT service management processes (esp. Service Operation / Service Transition) as well as overview
- Knowledge of IT service management tools and knowledge and experience with the Allianz ITSM tools and processes.
- Experience with international project or (offshore) cooperation.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and Service Management tools; JIRA
- Pronounced commitment and flexibility, assertiveness, goal and team orientation as well as independent work, personal responsibility, initiative, persuasiveness and negotiation skills.
You have
- Relevant work experience in Agile practices and roles, transformation, change management, and / or consultancy business.
- Experience in change management, and different Agile and Lean approaches such as Scrum, Kanban, XP practices or similar
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, collaborating, communication, facilitation, conflict management, and team building.
- Reliable with high level of accuracy.
- Ability to coordinate with all levels of stakeholders and ability to persuade / follow-up to ensure results.
- Good communication and relationship building skills.
- Certification in ITIL V4 (Foundation);
- University degree, preferably in with focus in Information Technology
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Fluency in German is an advantage (not mandatory).
