Role Overview 

 

We are looking for a dynamic Practice Lead to head the Business Acceptance Testing (BAT) team in Romania. This role will be the overarching leader for BAT in the location, responsible for service delivery, team leadership, capability growth, and customer success. The Practice Lead will play a pivotal role in strengthening Romania as a strategic hub for BAT, ensuring operational excellence, developing talent, and expanding the BAT footprint across Allianz entities. The position requires a blend of people leadership, customer engagement, and strategic growth orientation.

 

 

What you do

 

  • Practice Leadership & Growth Provide end-to-end leadership for the BAT practice in Romania, ensuring alignment with global BAT strategy.
  • Grow the BAT presence in Romania by expanding services, onboarding new customers, and increasing delivery scale.
  • Define and execute a location growth roadmap, ensuring Romania remains a strategic hub within Allianz Services.
  • Customer Engagement & Delivery Excellence Serve as the primary senior contact for BAT customers supported from Romania.
  • Drive excellence in test delivery, ensuring that engagements meet quality, timeliness, and outcome expectations.
  • Support the integration of advanced methodologies, including GenAI-enabled testing, automation, and UX testing.
  • Talent & Resource Management Lead and develop a high-performing BAT team in Romania, focusing on skills, career growth, and engagement.
  • Ensure optimal staffing and resource planning to meet customer demands.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.
  • Operational & Strategic Alignment Partner with the global BAT leadership team to ensure consistent practices, methodologies, and governance.
  • Monitor and report on practice performance, KPIs, and customer satisfaction (NPS, AES, productivity metrics).
  • Collaborate with other service lines ( Automation, BA, PMO, IAM, etc.) to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement.
  • Promote customer experience testing, AI-enabled automation, and outcome-driven delivery models.
  • Drive initiatives to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and delivery agility.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and bring innovative practices into the Romanian BAT practice. 

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years in Testing / Quality Assurance, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary testing teams in large-scale enterprise or transformation programs.
  • Experience in customer engagement and account growth within a global or regional delivery context. 
  • We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Deep knowledge of Business Acceptance Testing practices, including automation, functional testing, and UX/CX testing.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Financial acumen to manage budgets and drive efficiency.
  • Mindset: Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented, with the ability to scale services in Romania.
  • Customer-focused, collaborative, and innovative.
