Job role

 

The senior commercial service manager has various duties related to financial oversight and control within the function. This includes responsibilities such as budgeting and financial planning, tracking and reporting on expenses, ensuring compliance with internal financial policies, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making and P&L.

 

The candidate will also be a central point of contact for Project Managers advising on financial planning & approval processes as well as to various other stakeholders such as controlling, PMO and senior leadership.

 

This position is a senior role requiring independent management of tasks with minimal supervision, a highly proactive working style with attention to detail and the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of (senior) stakeholders.

 

What you do

 

  • Maintain and continuously improve tracking for all FTEs in the department with corresponding funding & billing assumptions (customer project / central funding / billing via service) and any joiners / leavers based on information from the Team Leads
  • Proactively seek information from stakeholders to ensure proper governance of finance & PPM related topics
  • Maintain & further improve tracking of all financials in regards to the Line Cost Center and Profit Centers in scope (comparing SAP plan against actuals, forecasting as well as analysing any deviations against plan) and respective high quality reporting to Senior Management (through Excel / PPT / dashboards e.g. in Power BI)
  • Identify and manage any financial risks and provide respective recommendations to Senior Management
  • Monitor all required PPM bookings for all resources in the department, implement respective controls & efficient follow up process to ensure timely and accurate PPM bookings on regular basis
  • Create and provide financial analyses, reports and dashboards for various stakeholders (ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, yearly base)
  • Support project managers with financial calculations, tools, and processes
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting on a consistent basis
  • Collaborate & build an interface for all stakeholders involved in End-to-End process such as Project Managers, Procurement, Functional Controllers, Service Managers, Senior Management
  • Ad-hoc reports, analysis, requests (Excel, Power BI,…)
  • Regularly challenge the status quo of processes & proactively drive continuous improvement

 

What you bring

 

  •  

    Min. 5 years experience in finance or accounting, including progressive experience in financial management, financial reporting, budgeting and analysis
  • Experience in SAP - Module SAP FI/CO (CAP – Central Accounting Production: Mostly used for operational purpose, looking up on details of a particular WBS, Cost Center, POs or Invoices & BAP – Central BW Production with access to controlling reports: e.g. pulling aggregated reports on Profit Center, Cost Center or Line Item extracts)
  • Understanding of Allianz Technology internal processes (Demands, Projects and their approval processes & related workflows)
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present financial information effectively to senior leadership and other stakeholders – English fluent
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations

     

     

 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related area
  • Relevant work experience in multinational companies e.g. in finance, controlling, accounting, PMO, etc
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized (ever-changing) work situations
  • Basic understanding of (IT) service management and (IT) service organizations
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Independent, pro-active, accurate and reliable working style
  • Ability to deliver high quality results while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in virtual, international teams
  • Quick perception and willingness to learn
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
