About the Role

 

As a Commercial Service Manager, you will be an active part of the commercial service management community within Allianz Global Network Services. You will both learn from and contribute to this cross-functional community, sharing expertise across service boundaries while managing the commercial and operational aspects of Telecom Expense Management Services.

 

What you do

 

  • Commercial & Financial Management
    • Develop and implement cost steering and controlling processes for the product, to the benefit of both customers and the product itself
    • Provide the product owner with accurate financial information to enable efficient service steering and to identify financial opportunities
    • Lead planning, cost management, monthly reviews, and P&L controlling
    • Manage yearly price calculations and initiate ordering for related components
  • Customer & Stakeholder Support
    • Provide guidance, advice, and support to customers on commercial matters
    • Align closely with Service Managers across the organization
  • Telecom Expense Management (TEMS) – Overarching Steering & Governance
    • Own and steer the end-to-end TEMS process globally, ensuring consistency and efficiency across markets/OEs
    • Define and evolve the overarching TEMS governance framework, including roles and responsibilities across stakeholders
    • Track, check, and ensure accuracy of invoices, resolving discrepancies and acting as escalation point for complex or recurring errors
    • Design and standardize overarching invoice and telecom expense management processes
    • Define and monitor KPIs/SLAs for TEMS performance, reporting to relevant stakeholders
    • Drive automation and process optimization across TEMS (e.g. invoice validation, reconciliation, reporting)
    • Ensure TEMS data quality and integrity as a basis for cost steering and controlling
    • Support vendor negotiations and contract renewals from a commercial perspective, in alignment with sourcing/procurement
    • Act as central point of contact for vendors on commercial and operational TEMS topics
    • Align with Service Managers to ensure TEMS outputs feed correctly into cost steering and P&L controlling

 

What you bring

 

  • Higher education degree with a technical-economical focus (e.g., industrial engineering) or equivalent work experience
  • Sound business knowledge with strong application of financial principles, ideally within a Service Management context
  • Technical awareness of network services
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to explain complex subjects clearly to varied audiences
  • International work experience desirable
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ServiceNow, and SAP (FI-CO/BW)
  • Ability to work independently in non-standardized, ever-changing work situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills grounded in practice and precedent, combined with the ability to analyze factual information
