Job role

The Financial Accountant will strengthen the Accounting Team of Allianz Technology SE and will ensure and set up efficient and compliant workflows to guarantee high quality for the transactions an processes within Accounting. Will perform analysis and reporting for internal and external audiences (Accounting management, Group Accounting, statutory auditors etc.). 

What you will do

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring adherence to established timelines and Group reporting requirements
• Prepare and coordinate closing meetings, maintaining comprehensive to-do lists and tracking pending items through completion
• Perform quality checks on P&L and balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Prepare variance analyses comparing actual results to plan and provide explanations for deviations
• Analysis and booking of Provisions, Accruals and Deferrals on the assigned entities;
• Monitor and report on overdue receivables for liquidity planning purposes
• Perform interim account checks and clearing activities
• Conduct statistical account research to ensure accurate Group reporting
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Process payroll postings and perform monthly reconciliations of payroll balance sheet accounts 

What you bring

• Good knowledge of IFRS and regulatory reporting;
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent combination of work and education
• Minimum 5 years working experience in Finance Accounting
• Previous working experience in IT or insurance industry is an advantage
• Good experience with SAP FI accounting systems; 
• We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team

You have

• Strong analytical, communication and influence skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, Benelux GAAPs, tax regulations and treasury basic knowledge
• Experience in closing process, financial planning and forecasting as well as preparation of local financial reports and tax filings
• Familiar with SAP-FI, SAP-CO, SAP-MM, SAP-SD and SAP-ECCS
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
