Job role

Monitor progress and maintain clear, organized records, applying effective, respectful sales approaches and ensuring all partnerships follow compliance guidelines. The Functional Controller also plans, forecasts, reports, and challenges financial Indicators and their main driver for services, projects, and line cost centers in close collaboration with the business, and co-ordinates improvement measures. You will advise managers on all financial controlling topics. Furthermore, you will manage the implementation of controlling processes and ensure compliance with controlling-relevant standards.

 

What you will do

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with our partners by understanding their evolving needs and skilled at identifying opportunities to introduce products and upgrades that add value
  • Act as a dedicated partner liaison, fostering open communication and supporting partners’ strategic planning with empathy and attentiveness
  • Assist in developing and maintaining financial models to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Develop recommendations for financial targets within the strategic and operational planning and forecasting process (long-, mid- and short-term perspective)
  • Create and provide financial analyses, reports, and dashboards for multiple partners (ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and yearly base)
  • Evaluate, develop, coordinate financial accounts, e.g., services, materials, and cost centers
  • Contribute, establish, and further develop guidelines, methods, and processes for controlling topics
  • Monitor actuals vs. plan, analyze deviations and their drivers, recommend measures to ensure plan achievement and track ongoing progress
  • Work collaboratively with finance team members locally and at group level to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

 

What you bring

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., SAP BW, Power BI) are a plus
  • Being assertive, proactive, takes initiative, and is a "doer" who gets things done
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working with higher management and able to effectively communicate financial insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skill

 

You have

  • Possess controlling, economic and business knowledge
  • Experienced in the application of systems that are relevant for Controlling, e.g., SAP FI-CO/BW
  • Analytical thinking, methodological and conceptual, and moderation and presentation techniques
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience. Min. 5-7 years in Finance and Accounting area
  • Relevant work experience in accounting or controlling in an international work environment
  • Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use
