Job role

The Labor Relations and HR Governance Coordinator is a dynamic support role that bridges administrative HR functions with specific expertise in labor law, compliance, and workplace policy. This position ensures that all human resource operations align with legal requirements and company governance standards. 

 

What you will do

  • Provides expertise, support, and advice in the legal domain of human resources at all organizational levels in projects and aspects related to labor legislation and labor relations practices. Advises People and Culture Business Partners on issues related to labor relations and employee relations, including performance topics and disciplinary actions, and advises on necessary actions.
  • Trains and informs People Business partners and the management team about changes and trends in the area of labor relations, legal decisions, and statutory changes, and when necessary, develops and conducts information sessions aimed at developing legislative knowledge and labor relations knowledge.
  • Develops or adjusts procedures, policies, guidelines, etc in case of changes in labor legislation.
  • Offers guidance to the management team and members of the People Experience team on a full range of issues related to employee relations, including disciplinary matters, performance management plan development, etc., and where necessary, initiates and leads the necessary investigations.
  • Facilitates continuous communication and working relationships with employee representatives, including coordinating committees intended for social dialogue.
  • Provides advice, support, and guidance to management, as needed, during collective labor contract negotiations and facilitates meetings with employee union representatives.
  • Oversees collective bargaining procedures, including drafting, reviewing, and modifying proposals, verifying legal contractual terminology, and suggesting additional rules and regulations.
  • Reviews and updates the internal regulations.
  • Analyzes framework documents related to labor relations (contracts, job descriptions, etc.) and makes modifications, adjustments, changes in line with legislative changes or internal procedure changes, when necessary.
  • Manages labor conflicts as needed, investigating circumstances, claim validity, compliance with contractual policies, and finalizing resolution procedures.
  • Acts as Coordinator for MiniMobility and International Mobility within Allianz Services Romania, in accordance with Allianz Services global standards for international mobility processes.
  • Supports and conducts audits related to HR processes, as applicable, maintains a close relationship with the auditor to establish the audit agenda and clarify requirements.
  • Liaises with experts in each area for documenting audit requests.
  • Any other People Experience project connected with Labor Relations and HR Governance. 

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, law, business administration, or a related field.
  • Preferred: Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Labor Relations Professional (LRP)).
  • Several years of experience in human resources, labor relations, or a related field, preferably in a unionized setting.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations, managing conflict resolution processes, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing employee relations programs and policies across multiple departments.
  • Extensive experience with HRIS systems, HR analytics tools, and case management software (ServiceNow, or similar platforms).
  • Strong background in performance management processes and progressive discipline procedures.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
  • Professional certification with documented continuing education in employee relations.
