Job role

As a Media Intelligence Specialist you will support timely information of employees, communicators and senior management with news products based on excellent news judgement and curation skills. The selection of news and the interpretation follows rigorous editorial standards and curation principles developed by Group Communications.

 

What you will do

  • Ensure timely information delivery to employees, communicators, and senior management through news products based on excellent news judgment and selection skills.
  • Select and interpret news following strict editorial standards and selection principles developed by Group Communications.
  • Final editing of the Allianz Group Media Review and present the most important must-reads and top headlines from key media during the Morning Briefing with other Allianz communicators.
  • Support news management responsibilities, including news monitoring.
  • Conduct media research (journalist and media profiles, topic research), analyze content, prepare insights in pre-aligned formats, and deliver on time and with high quality, ensuring positive feedback from stakeholders.
  • Research news articles, write headline scans, and contribute to Group Communications and Corporate Affairs (GCCA) newsletter products such as The Week Ahead.
  • Support subscription and access management for media outlets, vendor coordination, and newswire management.
  • Execute licensing processes for content syndication and ensure compliance with tool requirements for business owners.
  • Prepare and compile reports and analyses based on external studies and secondary research, presenting actionable insights in internal meetings.
  • Support the management and administration of dedicated pages on Connect and the internal knowledge management page on SharePoint.
  • Prepare, compile, and create internal communication content (e.g., presentations, scripts, intranet articles, emails).
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external providers, such as Corporate Communications, to ensure alignment and quality.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of recurring reports and continuously improve communication processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for various activities. 

 

What you bring

  • University degree in communications, media or social science, or proven economic background.
  • Practical working experiences in the fields of media research and/or communications, project management a strong plus.
  • Strong grasp of online community platforms, social media tools, and analytics.
  • Understanding of the financial services sector and global trends.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and lateral thinker.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to create customer-tailored content.
  • Ability to see and interpret patterns in media and communication coverage.
  • English native level (excellent oral and written), German very good, other languages a plus.
  • We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.
