Job role

The Procurement Expert is part of the Procure to Order (P2O) team, reporting to the P2O Team Lead.
The role is responsible for executing operational procurement activities and providing Source-to-Contract support using SAP Ariba P2P/S2C platforms.
The team delivers standardized procurement operations to Allianz Operating Entities, ensuring compliant and efficient end-to-end procurement processing.


What you will do

  • Analyzing procurement data and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Aligning with business stakeholders on demand requirements and analyzing consolidation potential.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, legal) to ensure procurement activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Executing procurement activities for assigned categories, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of services.
  • Communicating with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, and resolving issues or discrepancies.
  • Supporting strategic procurement in spend analysis across national and international markets, including benchmarking with best practice approaches.
  • Conducting market research on a regular basis and sharing identified trends with business units.
  • Supporting the implementation of procurement processes and systems to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
  • Meeting established performance indicators (KPIs) and SLAs for procurement activities.
  • Performing operational activities in Ariba P2P and Ariba S2C: Contract Sourcing, Contract Workspace, Requisitioning, and Ariba Purchase Order Reconciliation.

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba (P2P and/or S2C modules) or similar procurement platforms.
  • Understanding of end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, contracting, and purchase order management.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
  • Experience working in a shared services or multi-entity environment is a plus.
  • We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for supplier and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (operations, finance, legal).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to meet KPIs and SLAs.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with reporting and data visualization tools is an advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP Ariba S2C and P2P modules, including Contract Sourcing, Contract Workspace, Requisitioning, and Purchase Order Reconciliation.
