Job role

The Resilience Officer is responsible for the overall Protection and Resilience 9P&R) domains’ governance, implementation, and compliance with internal and external regulations, but is also involved actively in the incident management and crisis management processes as required.
There following domains under the governance of the Protection & Resilience program:

o Global Incident Management (GIM)
o Emergency Response Management (ERM)
o Crisis Management (CM)
o Business Continuity Management (BCM)
o IT Service Continuity Management
o Protective Security Management (PSM)
o Third Party Risk Management / Outsourcing (TPRM)

What you will do   

  • Ensures the local implementation of the P&R program.
  • Manage operational resilience by actively identifying related risks, ensuring effective mitigating controls, and continually monitoring for improvement to protect Allianz’ business operations
  • Ensure the continuity of business-critical services and processes within defined timeframes after a disruption
  • Ensure trainings and exercises to enables our organization to manage crisis situations with confidence and ensure cooperation and escalation, thus increasing the resilience of Allianz Group
  • Ensure minimizing the impact of business disruptions and preventing harm to Allianz and its personnel by co-ordinately focusing on unified global incident management, relevant stakeholder engagement and consistent cross-functional assessments
  • Ensure adequate IT disaster recovery for all underlying information and communication technology that business-critical processes rely on
  • Ensure protective security management by both proactive preparatory and mitigation measures as well as quick response to acute personnel and company-related threats from criminal behaviour or beyond
  • Enable a consistent and proportionate risk management approach across the defined risk coverage to Third Parties engaged locally
  • Offer a unique mix of consultancy & operational services for Global Incident Management and Crisis Management
  • Coordinate and supervise the incident management process (IT and non-IT).
  • Ensure the preparations of periodic reporting to relevant stakeholders with respect to P&R Program status
  • Respond to various assessments and requests related to P&R domain
  • Ensure maturity growth and regulatory compliance for the local P&R domain
  • Ensure a good collaboration with Risk Management and other connected functions.

What you bring

  • University degree
    •    At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in Protection & Resilience domains (Global Incident Management / Crisis Management / Business Continuity Manageent) ideally in the financial / insurance industry
    •    Ideally holder of recognized qualification and certification in one of the Protection & Resilience domains
    •    Proven experience in Project & Stakeholder management
    •    Proven experience in incident management (IT / non-IT) / crisis management
    •    Ability to analyze data and extrapolate relevant information, identify problem root causes and think creatively for solutions
    •    Experience in conducting Protection & Resilience relevant workshops and training
    •    Entrepreneurial with strong collaboration skills
    •    Ability to deliver high-quality results and takes ownership of initiatives
    •    Technical understanding of IT tools
    •    Proficiency with MS Office – especially MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Forms. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
    •    Knowledge of GenAI and ChatGPT usage and applicability.
    •    Fluent English is necessary, knowledge of German or other languages is a plus
