Job role
Local lead lawyer to provide business oriented legal advice with respect to all aspects of law, with focus on commercial law matters, labor law and corporate law (corporate secretary).
What you will do
• Act as the legal advisor to local management, providing clear recommendations, identifying risks, and supporting both operational and strategic decision-making.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including global service agreements, vendor/outsourcing agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs and related documentation.
• Informing, advising and issuing recommendations to the local management regarding compliance with applicable internal standards and guidelines, including ensuring these standards and guidelines are appropriately maintained.
• Manage corporate governance topics, including preparing shareholder/board documentation, resolutions and company records according to local and Group requirements.
• Raise the level of awareness and understanding in the business for legal issues, risks and mitigation measures and act as a bridge between functions and the business for handling legal challenges.
• Stay up to date with legal developments, regulatory changes and industry trends, and provide proactive advice to anticipate risks and enable business growth.
• Act as a coordination point between functions and the business in addressing legal challenges, and cross-functional matters.
• Support local and global projects, transformation initiatives and regulatory reviews with clear, pragmatic and solution-oriented legal input.
• Oversee and steer external and internal legal counsels, where applicable, ensuring quality, cost efficiency and alignment with internal expectations.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve legal templates, playbooks, guidelines and internal know-how; promote modern, digital and GenAI-enabled legal ways of working.
What you bring
• Romanian qualified lawyer (from a top tier accredited institution), with definitive Lawyer Exam and Membership to the Bar in Romania
• English: business fluent. Experience working in English in an international context (written and spoken).
• 10+ years of relevant post-qualification experience in an international law firm and/or as inhouse legal counsel, preferably international environment.
• Strong track record in commercial contracts and corporate law; experience with cross-border setups and matrix organizations is an advantage.
• Experience as a Corporate Secretary.
• We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills and a positive, pragmatic, and dynamic approach to legal practice.
• High sense of ownership, reliability and integrity; able to work independently and manage multiple topics in parallel.
• Strong stakeholder management skills; able to build trustful relationships with senior leaders and global functions.
• Comfort with change, transformation and working in a dynamic, growing organization.
• Interest in legal tech and new technologies (e.g. GenAI) and how they can improve legal services.
• A strong interest in constant upskilling & learning.
