Job role

The Project Manager will support Allianz Global Investors in the successful execution of the Project River transformation initiative by ensuring alignment between business objectives, delivery governance, and the One Delivery Model operating framework.

The role focuses on transforming and integrating existing project structures and deliverables into our organizational Agile Delivery Organization while enabling effective collaboration across Distribution, Procurement, and Operations. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, the Agile Delivery Lead will support organizational alignment, governance, prioritization, and coordination of externally delivered engineering services.

The position requires extensive engagement with senior leadership, including Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents, Product Owners, and Delivery Leads, to ensure sustainable delivery practices and operational continuity throughout the transformation journey.

What you will do

• Support the integration of external delivery partners into our Agile Delivery Model
• Facilitate the adoption and evolution of the Project River setup into our One Delivery Model operating model, including structures, governance processes and delivery practices
• Drive alignment between business expectations, transformation objectives, and delivery capabilities.
• Coordinate collaboration between Distribution, Procurement, and Operations stakeholders.
• Establish and facilitate governance structures, decision-making forums, and prioritization mechanisms across multiple business areas.
• Support the centralized coordination of externally staffed engineering teams delivering workflow implementation services.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership regarding operating model implementation, delivery governance, and transformation-related activities.
• Ensure transparency regarding priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and communication across business, technology, and operational organizations.
• Identify organizational impediments, delivery blockers, and transformation risks and support their resolution.
• Drive collaboration between project teams and operational support organizations to ensure sustainable service delivery.
• Support change management and organizational adoption activities required for the integration of Project River into our target operating model.
• Promote Agile ways of working, continuous improvement, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
  
  

What you bring

• Proven experience in delivery leadership, Agile transformation, operating model implementation, or large-scale organizational change initiatives – minimum 8 years.
•       Strong understanding of the Allianz delivery model and delivery governance frameworks.
•       Extensive stakeholder management experience across senior leadership levels, including Managing Directors, Directors, and Vice Presidents.
•       Experience working in complex matrix organizations with multiple business stakeholders and competing priorities.
•       Demonstrated ability to align business objectives with delivery and operational execution models.
•       Experience supporting organizational transformations involving external service providers and engineering partners.
•       Strong facilitation, coaching, consulting, and communication skills.
•       Experience working with global, cross-functional, and geographically distributed teams.
•       Ability to influence decision-making without direct authority.
•       Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
•       Knowledge of workflow implementation and engineering delivery organizations is considered an advantage.
•       Knowledge of ServiceNow is beneficial but not mandatory.
•       Experience within Asset Management, Investment Management, Financial Services, or regulated environments is considered an advantage.
•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
•       German language skills are considered an advantage.
