Job role

Allianz is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to join the Operating Model Buildout value stream, supporting the development and execution of new target operating models, innovative products, and functional enhancements.

What you will do

 

  • Work closely with Operations, Data & Technology, Product teams, Investment Managers and Client Account Managers to gather and shape business requirements from internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with domain Subject Matter Experts and business stakeholders to support concept development and implementation of innovative products, new target operating models, and functional enhancements
  • Apply structured analysis techniques (e.g. stakeholder workshops, desk shadowing, interviews) to understand client needs, assess feasibility early, shape target solutions, and manage implementation through to successful delivery
  • Deliver projects and product launches with early consideration of IT, accounting, legal, tax, risk, and regulatory constraints, ensuring alignment of scope, timeline, and budget
  • Lead and be responsible for larger‑scale programs related to shaping and evolving the target operating model
  • Execute projects independently, taking full ownership of deliverables and overall project success while acting as an internal consultant
  • Manage multiple topics and projects in parallel, with the ability to prioritize effectively and escalate where required
  • Develop operational models and workflows, and design supporting technology and data solutions aligned with the overall Operating Model
  • Coordinate all involved internal and external stakeholders, including custodians, fund administrators, middle‑office providers, and IT vendors
  • Assess existing target operating models, identify strengths and weaknesses, and develop recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure client satisfaction, accuracy and productivity of deliverables, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, disruptive services, technological advances, market innovations, and best practices


What you bring

 

 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, IT, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in management or IT consulting, or in relevant functions within an Investment Management organization
  • Solid understanding of the investment management business and the front‑, middle‑, and back‑office value chain
  • Solid understanding of the European regulatory framework for investment managers, insurance investors, and investment funds
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build trusted relationships with stakeholders across levels, jurisdictions, and entities
  • Ability to operate effectively in an international, diverse, and highly interdisciplinary environment
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across multiple jurisdictions and entities
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
  • Experience translating business requirements into optimized, scalable process designs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Experience leading process redesign or transformation initiatives across multiple teams or regions.
  • Experience integrating process models with IT systems, applications, or automation initiatives
  • Analytical and customer oriented mindset, with a genuine interest in technology, digital transformation, and innovation (e.g. IT, automation, or GenAI).We highly welcome candidates with a genuine interest and affinity for Information Technology (IT) and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), as these attributes are considered valuable assets to our team.



You have

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Hands‑on, pragmatic mindset combined with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
  • (Nice to have) Programming or scripting skills (e.g. Python, SQL)
  • (Nice to have) Experience with investment management systems, including a solid understanding of underlying data models
  • Business analysis or consulting background
  • Experience with ADONIS tool
