Job role

 

The Service Governance Manager Role is responsible for the end-to-end governance of external vendors and outsourced services within Allianz Services. The role ensures vendor compliance with Allianz policies, regulatory requirements, information security standards, and contractual obligations while supporting efficient service delivery and operational excellence.  

Acting as the central coordination point between Business, Procurement, IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Controlling and external suppliers, the Vendor Governance Manager oversees vendor onboarding, contract administration, risk management, budget planning, operational controls, reporting, and governance processes. The role enables transparent decision-making, financial control, risk mitigation, and successful vendor performance management across the service lifecycle

 

 

What will you do

 

Vendor Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure supplier compliance with Allianz governance, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute and coordinate Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Third Party Cyber Risk Management (TPCRM) assessments.
  • Review and manage supplier risk assessments and remediation activities.
  • Coordinate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) reviews, approvals, and signature workflows.
  • Support internal and external audit activities, including evidence collection and remediation tracking.
  • Maintain governance documentation, controls, and compliance records.
  • Ensure outsourced services comply with Allianz internal policies and risk management frameworks 


Contract & Purchase Order Management 

  • Manage contract renewals, extensions, amendments, and contractual updates.
  • Coordinate legal entity transitions and contractual changes.
  • Create, monitor, and extend Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Maintain contract repositories and vendor documentation.
  • Support Procurement activities related to supplier onboarding and contract administration.
  • Monitor contractual obligations and ensure timely execution of governance activities.  

 

Vendor & Resource Onboarding 

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for external suppliers and contractor resources. 
  • Manage onboarding processes through Fieldglass and related governance platforms.
  • Create, activate, maintain, and unblock external user accounts.
  • Coordinate AVC deployment and technical onboarding activities where required.
  • Ensure compliance of onboarding processes with Allianz governance and security standards.  

 

Project & Service Governance

  • Track vendor-related Change Requests and governance actions.
  • Monitor project progress, delivery status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Maintain project and operational risk registers using RAG methodology.
  • Ensure governance activities are executed according to established frameworks and standards.
  • Provide oversight of service delivery governance and operational controls.
  • Support portfolio governance activities and strategic initiatives.  

 

Steering Committees & Executive Reporting

  • Organize and facilitate Steering Committee meetings and governance forums.
  • Prepare executive presentations, dashboards, status reports, and governance updates.
  • Deliver operational and executive reporting on vendors, contracts, services, budgets, and risks.
  • Present governance insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Support management decision-making through accurate and timely reporting.

 

Financial Governance, Budgeting & Controlling

  • Lead annual and multi-year budgeting activities for assigned services and suppliers.
  • Monitor budget consumption, financial commitments, CAPEX, and OPEX expenditures.
  • Create and maintain financial cases within SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
  • Support financial planning, controlling approvals, and budget reallocations.
  • Ensure alignment between vendor costs, budget forecasts, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Controlling teams to maintain financial governance and transparency.  

 

Forecasting & Resource Planning 

  • Support demand planning, forecasting, and resource allocation activities.
  • Monitor resource capacity and utilization against approved budgets.
  • Perform forecasting reviews and maintain accurate full-year forecasts.
  • Identify risks and deviations impacting financial plans or resource capacity.
  • Ensure timely reporting and correction of demand or forecasting discrepancies.  

 

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive process improvements and governance standardization activities.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization of governance processes.
  • Improve reporting capabilities and operational efficiency through analytical insights and technology adoption.
  • Contribute to governance framework enhancements and best practice implementation.
  • Support organizational transformation and vendor management maturit

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Procurement, or a related field. 
  • 5–7 years of experience in Vendor Management, Contract Management, Procurement Operations, Service Governance, or a comparable role. 
  • Experience working with global suppliers and outsourced service environments. 
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, risk management, budgeting, and financial control processes. 
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders including Business, IT, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Controlling. 
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken). 
  • Experience with ServiceNow, SAC, Jira, SAP, Fieldglass, Power BI, or similar enterprise platforms is considered an advantage.
