AI Native DevOps Engineer (L2 Support)
Budapest, HU, 1087
The AI-Driven DevOps Engineer is responsible for the technical implementation, further development and end-to-end ownership of a largely on-prem, legacy application portfolio and its supporting infrastructure, including the provision, supply and support of the IT infrastructure. In this role you will operate and continuously improve these applications, applying automation and AI — from CI/CD-based delivery to predictive, ML-driven monitoring — and conduct analyses and provide advisory services on the feasibility of IT requirements.
You will
-
Own assigned applications end to end across their lifecycle — run, maintain, improve and decommission — for a largely on-prem, legacy application portfolio
-
Monitoring & Event Management – continuously monitor application health, batch jobs and integration points, using AI-assisted anomaly detection (Dynatrace Davis) to reduce alert noise and mean-time-to-detect, and automate routine remediation
-
Change Enablement & Release Support – execute application-level configuration changes and run deployments through CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
-
Service Request Management – fulfil operational requests such as access provisioning and data corrections
-
Application Maintenance & Housekeeping – perform routine upkeep including log rotation, and provide release- and patch management
-
Availability & Continuity Management – execute failover and DR procedures and validate that backups meet defined RTO/RPO targets
-
Capacity & Performance Management – monitor performance and capacity trends, define SLOs and recommend improvements
-
Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement – maintain runbooks and knowledge articles, and use automation and AI to reduce operational toil
-
Participate in an on-call rota, providing support to critical applications outside standard working hours
-
Incident Management – receive, diagnose and resolve escalated application incidents within SLA timelines
-
Problem Management – identify root causes of recurring incidents and maintain the Known Error Database
-
Security Operations & Compliance – maintain ICT asset inventories, support resilience testing, produce ICT incident records and audit evidence for regulatory (DORA) resilience reporting, and ensure compliance with company and legislative specifications and guidelines (e.g. security, data protection, service definitions)
-
Security remediation & access governance – remediate vulnerabilities and apply security patches across the on-prem stack (Linux, IBM WebSphere, nginx), act on GitHub Advanced Security and code-scanning findings, and run periodic access recertification and least-privilege reviews
-
Monitor the IT market and technological trends, recommend future technology direction and latest technologies — including AI and automation — to enhance Allianz Technology's operating efficiency and support enhanced customer service
Your skills
-
Relevant work experience in system engineering and application operations (e.g. network, server, security, databases)
-
Strong Linux administration, plus operating IBM WebSphere and nginx in production
-
CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, secure development using GitHub Advanced Security, and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)
-
Kubernetes at operator/workload level on EKS and AKS, with AWS and Azure network architecture knowledge
-
Observability with Dynatrace and OpenSearch (metrics, logs, traces) and a track record of defining and meeting SLOs
-
Scripting and automation (e.g. Python), and practical experience wiring AI into operations — e.g. AI-assisted code generation/review or AIOps tooling with ML-based alerting
-
Experience in IT architecture management and IT security tools
-
Degree or equivalent professional experience
-
Cloud or Kubernetes certification desirable
-
Experience in a regulated environment (e.g. financial services or insurance), and exposure to MLOps or FinOps, desirable
