DevOps Engineer - R & AI Applications

About the Job

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for the technical implementation and further development and maintenance of software solutions, including the provision and support of the IT infrastructure.
We are looking for a colleague with proficient knowledge in R and relevant experience in developing and maintaining R-Applications on an enterprise level.

What you do

• Maintain and improve established AI applications written in R on code level and from an IT infrastructure point of view
• Carry out planned and unplanned changes in the R based applications
• Maintain and improve the relevant R-services ensuring performance and availability, and providing release- and patch management
• Be part of the incident-, problem-, and change-management team for these R-based applications and related infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with Data Science teams to enable the adaption of existing Services and support estimating work items for new
• Ensure compliance and quality of the respective specifications and guidelines of the company and legislation (e.g., security, testing, SLAs).

What you bring

• Proficient knowledge in R, including experience in developing and maintaining R-based applications on an enterprise level
• Extensive knowledge in R Shiny, Rmarkdown
• Experience in maintaining applications with underlying Machine Learning models (e.g., xgboost).
• Expertise in SQL, including experience with databases such as Oracle, Snowflake, PL/SQL
• Working experience with tools such as GIT, Confluence, JIRA, and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Linux, AWS, and AWS Infrastructure.
• Project and IT service management experience.
• Relevant work experience in system engineering (e.g., network, server, security, or databases).
• Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
