Head of Planning and Controlling.
What you’ll do:
As the Head of Planning and Controlling, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, driving financial performance, and fostering innovation. You will lead a team responsible for financial planning, reporting, cost management, and productivity improvement, while also exploring new technologies and innovative approaches to enhance business outcomes.
Your key tasks will include:
- Strategic and Annual Planning:
- Lead the company’s three-year strategic planning process, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
- Drive the annual planning process, translating strategic goals into actionable plans.
- Prepare and present strategic and financial plans to senior management and the Owner, providing insights to guide decision-making.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Oversee financial analysis and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of Monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports.
- Develop and enhance the MIS system and related data recording processes to improve transparency and decision support.
- Monitor and manage key financial performance indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Creating reports and decision-support materials for senior management.
- Cost Management:
- Lead the annual cost planning process, collaborating with cost managers, cost center managers, and business areas to ensure efficiency and alignment with company goals.
- Drive initiatives to optimize cost structures and improve productivity across the organization.
- Oversee cost management by defining and maintaining the cost center structure, managing cost allocations and accruals, and delivering detailed dashboards with insights on cost trends, supported by actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Reporting and Decision Support:

- Develop a comprehensive system for business and cost reporting, including regular and ad-hoc reports.
- Prepare decision-support materials for senior management and owners, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Support the preparation of cost-benefit analyses to guide strategic and operational decisions.
- Sustainability and Market Analysis:
- Monitoring and analyzing macroeconomic trends and developments in the insurance market.
- Contributing to sustainability-related activities within the scope of the controlling function.
- Innovation and Technology:

- Identify and implement innovative solutions and emerging technologies to enhance financial planning, reporting, and cost management processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Planning and Controlling function.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore digitalization opportunities and leverage AI tools for enhanced decision-making.
What you bring:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant controlling experience in the insurance sector
- At least 2–3 years of leadership experience
- Fluent English and Hungarian, both written and spoken
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proactive and structured mindset
- Familiarity with available AI tools such as ChatGPT
