About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Expert PL1 Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player and a creative pragmatist who is willing to take calculated risks and has a strong ability to communicate with our stakeholders effectively in German. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to critical systems and collaborating with a diverse team to drive innovation and excellence.
What You Do:
- Develop and enhance existing PL1 modules for Output Management Systems (OMS).
- Conduct code and business analysis with the aim of implementing code refactoring and increasing module resilience.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to discuss requirements and address any bugs or issues.
- Participate in requirement engineering to ensure comprehensive understanding and documentation of business needs.
- Contribute to the architecture and design of output management solutions, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
What You Bring:
- Profound development experience in PL1.
- Extensive experience with Output Management Systems, including architecture and design.
- Strong expertise in requirement engineering.
- Deep knowledge of IBM DB2, WebSphere MQ, and XML.
- Profound experience with Allianz Business System (ABS).
- Fluent German language skills are required for effective communication with business stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to Munich for Tribe Days and several other occasions, such as workshops with business stakeholders.
- Java skills or experience in another object-oriented language is desirable due to the planned migration from PL1 to Java in the coming years.
