About the Job
As a Senior Data Engineer you will develop and optimize Python-based ETL pipelines, manage cloud service components, and ensure compliance with Allianz Technology standards. Additionally, you will coordinate with stakeholders for seamless operations and support risk assessments and audits.
What you do
- Develop new functionalities in the Python-based ETL pipeline and maintain and optimize existing pipelines.
- Plan capacity and size service components, proactively managing cloud components and initiating new service setups.
- Coordinate operations and maintenance of software, server infrastructure, and databases like Synapse and PowerBI.
- Maintain service-related documentation in accordance with Allianz Technology standards.
- Conduct monitoring and SLA management, ensuring optimal service performance.
- Document, maintain, and optimize processes and configurations for various environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in development, architecture, rollout, and operations teams, and manage service-related risk assessments and audits.
What you bring
- Preferably at least 5 years’ experience in data engineering with 2+ years of experience with data oriented Python (Polars, Pandas, Pyspark etc) and at least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture.
- Experience with software as a service concept.
- Strong analytical skills as well as organizing abilities.
- Strong customer focus and can rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
- Advanced English is a must.
- Excellent communication skills with high customer focus.
- Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles, and their practical use.
