CEE FINANCE CONTROLLER

Do you want to explore the insurance business through its financial, risk and commercial reporting, controlling and planning? Allianz Trade is looking for a candidate for the position of Financial Controller who will be part of the CEE Financial Controlling team and will be responsible for controlling tasks in the CEE countries (CZ, SK, HU, RO, BG).

Your main responsibilities:

• Engage in finance and controlling operations across CEE countries;
• Steer, coordinate and actively participate in statutory audits, including preparation of financial statements and communication with external auditors;
• Coordinate and contribute to financial forecasting, budgeting, risk reporting and commercial reporting
• Prepare and deliver regular financial reporting for local management, the regional team and the Allianz Trade Group;
• Handle reporting requirements for local authorities;
• Contribute to cost controlling activities during month-end closing;
• Support year-end closing processes;
• Perform data analysis and prepare management metrics;
• Cooperate on CEE regional projects and work closely with our regional competence center in Bucharest (AP, AR, GL). 

This position has no direct reports.

What you bring

• University degree in Finance or Economics (or extensive hands-on experience in case of a high-school degree);
• 3 - 5 years of experience in controlling or reporting (experience in financial services is an advantage);
• Strong analytical skills and a structured way of thinking;
• Experience working with SAP FI / SAP CO and very good proficiency in MS Excel;
• Fluency in English and Czech/Slovak; any additional CEE language is a plus;
• Experience working across multiple countries (advantageous);
• A combination of attention to detail, diligence and the ability to see the broader context;
• A strong delivery focus and ability to work independently with variety of stakeholders and external authorities;
• Previous involvement in process simplification, change initiatives, operational risk or audit activities (a plus)
• Basic understanding and/or interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools
