What you do

 

You will  be the catalyst to fulfilling the Audit Plan by leading cross-functional audit teams while acquiring in-depth knowledge of the business and enhancing your personal development as never before in this multi-cultural, international work environment. As an accomplished generalist, no specific need for supervision in your daily duties is expected.  During audit missions, you will be the shining example to whom the internal audit staff turn to for leadership, organization, communication and execution of the audits.

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

Locally in Egypt

  • Ensuring Compliance with FRA Regulations: you will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all FRA regulations, directives, and guidelines. This includes monitoring adherence to laws related to financial reporting, corporate governance, and risk management.
  • Monitoring Internal Controls: you will evaluate the effectiveness of the company's internal control systems. This includes identifying weaknesses in controls and recommending improvements to ensure compliance with FRA requirements within the global audit framework of AZ Partners.
  • Assessing Risk Management Frameworks: you will assess the adequacy of the company's risk management processes, ensuring that risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated in line with FRA regulations.
  • Reviewing Financial Reporting: you are responsible for reviewing the accuracy and completeness of financial reports submitted to the FRA. This includes ensuring that financial statements are prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards and FRA requirements.
  • Reporting Irregularities to Management, and when necessary, to the FRA.
  • Facilitating FRA Inspections, Advising on Regulatory Changes and Promoting Corporate Governance

Within the Global Audit Community:

  • Demonstrating a well-organized plan to systematically execute your assigned audits in accordance with the International audit standards and plans of Allianz Partners Internal Audit.
  • Studying and scoping the applicable business processes to be audited culminating in key required documentation including the Audit Planning Memorandum, the Audit Working Program (inclusive of data analytics test requirements) and the list of documents to be requested in a collaborative effort with Regional Audit Heads overseeing the audits
  • Establishing and strengthening communication with business management and other relevant stakeholders through well-organized meetings (opening, closing, interviews & debriefings).
  • Supervising the efforts of the entire audit team to ensure timely and properly documented work including relevant comments and collected evidence of controls and support for observations.
  • Mastering the report preparation of written audit findings & recommendations with proper review and acceptance of management action plans.
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with senior leaders of the business
  • Presenting the audit findings at closing meetings
  • Working effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insight responsibly and in line with our standards for data governance, security and ethical use.

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Accomplished audit experience with at least 5 years as an auditor in the field of insurance or reinsurance, or in one of the legal, accounting, financial, business management, information technology, or healthcare fields.
  • Deep knowledge of business governance, project management, internal controls and risks.
  • You must not be employed in any capacity by any other company or entity, or by any of the entities providing diagnostic, therapeutic, or rehabilitative medical care services, in a way that would conflict with their duties in the company.
  • Exemplary interviewing and English language skills (candidates with foreign language skills highly desirable)
  • A demonstrated proficiency in working with MS-Office applications and a drive to explore other technologies (e.g., data mining, analytics) to enhance the audit process.
  • Availability for business travel (for 2 to 3 week intervals at different locations around the world; approximately 4 to 6 weeks per year)
  • A consummate professional with high integrity, morale and ethical standards.
  • A high-energy “can do” attitude working in a dynamic business environment.
  • A disciplined approach and knowledge of methodologies and interviewing techniques from past experiences in auditing, project management and/or risk management.
  • A bachelor’s or higher-level degree from an accredited university.
  • CPA/CA/CIA/CISA certification preferred.
