The Facility Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of facility operations, infrastructure projects, technical services, workplace safety and related budget administration. The role requires strong leadership capabilities to ensure efficient facility management, operational continuity, regulatory compliance, and delivery of infrastructure initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.
A key part of your role also involves ensuring ISO audit readiness, managing EHS compliance, and supporting the operational efficiency of a high-performance BPO workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Operations:
• Manage day-to-day operations of building MEP systems: HVAC, electrical, UPS, BMS, FAS systems, etc as per installations at site.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for critical assets.
• Conduct root cause analysis for technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Supervise annual maintenance vendors and service providers to ensure SLA compliance.
• Review technical & quantitative proposals , drawings , and engineering specifications for facility related projects.
• Monitor facility performance matrix and implement operational improvements for efficiency and reliability
• Monitor energy consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.
• Maintain all technical documentation and Maintenance logs.
Infrastructure Project Management & Office Fit out Implementation :
• Lead infrastructure expansion, refurbishment, fit-out , and renovation projects from planning to execution.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, architects, designers, contractors, and vendors to deliver infrastructure works including MEP installations, IT cabling, power distribution, and building automation systems.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits during fitout phases to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
• Manage purchase requests, installation, testing, and commissioning of technical equipment and systems during projects.
• Monitor project schedules, milestones, quality standards and risk mitigation plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved timelines, budgets and operational requirements.
• Conduct site due diligence, technical evaluations and project feasibility assessments.
• Manage transition activities during project handover and operational readiness
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on quality and
timelines.
Compliance & ISO Audit Management:
• Ensure all systems and processes comply with applicable ISO standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, etc.).
• Maintain updated audit documentation, logs, permits, calibration records, and training certifications.
• Support internal and external EHS audits, ISO audits, and client inspections. • Drive continuous improvement through corrective/preventive actions post audits.
Facilities Budget Management:
• Prepare and manage annual facilities operating budgets and capital expenditure plans.
• Track operational expenses and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising service quality.
• Review vendor quotations, contracts, and commercial proposals for cost effectiveness.
• Monitor invoice processing, AMC costs, utility expenses and project expenditure.
• Ensure financial discipline and adherence to approved budgets.
• Prepare management reports related to cost analysis, savings initiatives and budget forecasts.
Health & Safety Management:
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Implement and monitor workplace safety standards, emergency response procedures, and fire safety systems.
• Conduct periodic safety audits, risk assessments, and mock drills.
• Ensure contractor safety compliance and adherence to permit to work systems
• Coordinate incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Promote a strong safety culture across facilities and project sites
• Train team members on SOPs, safety protocols, and emergency response.
Soft Services Management:
• Oversee outsourced vendors for housekeeping, security and pantry operations.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and service quality.
• Manage consumables inventory, uniform distribution, and housekeeping audits.
• Ensure front office operations meet corporate standards of hospitality and professionalism.
• Manage vendor performance through regular reviews and KPI tracking.
Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as the single point of contact for client escalations, project updates, and issue resolution.
• Provide timely reporting on facility operations, energy usage, incident logs, and asset performance.
Key Skills and Competencies:
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong technical expertise in MEP and building automation systems.
• Proven experience in managing integrated facility management in BPO environments.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and audit practices-ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 implementation experience
• Familiarity with CMMS/BMS/CAFM tools.
• Strong communication and vendor management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
• Language Skills: Must-Have: Arabic, French, English.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional certifications in Facilities Management, Project Management, or Health & Safety will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in facilities operations, preferably in BPO or data centre environments.
