Your mission in the team:
As the Chapter Lead Pricing at Allianz Direct France, you will oversee pricing activities and ensure alignment with Allianz Direct’s strategy and Group requirements. Reporting to the Head of Product & Pricing, you will lead a team of pricing specialists and data scientists (7 people).
Your mission is to build a clear Pricing strategy to underwrite profitable business in P&C Car, Home, and Travel while ensuring our products meet customer needs and remain competitive in the direct market. In particular, in the context of the M&A integration of Luko, Friday, and Eurofil, you will streamline and harmonize processes, play an active role in platform integration, and deliver positive economic outcomes for both New Business and Renewal portfolios, as per targets.
Pricing Responsibilities
- Build a clear pricing strategy for Allianz Direct in France, with end‑to‑end responsibility for pricing processes (both technical and commercial) and alignment with the company’s overall targets.
- Turn around the Luko and Eurofil portfolios toward profitable growth, while considering the specificities of the French direct market.
- Establish effective and efficient pricing processes in close collaboration with Allianz Direct’s international tribes.
- Ensure compliance with Allianz Direct and Allianz Group standards and policies related to pricing activities.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Build and strengthen the local Product and Pricing team by supporting training, upskilling, and full integration within Allianz Direct’s matrix organization.
- Collaborate proactively with international colleagues and Allianz France to share and apply best practices.
Internal Governance Responsibilities
- Prepare the QBR together with your fellow Chapter Leads.
Technical Excellence and Documentation
- Implement TEx standards and obtain the necessary qualifications for the French branch.
- Ensure proper, auditable documentation in line with Group standards.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, using testing as a driver of innovation.
- Regularly benchmark the market and direct competitors to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate across Allianz Group, build strong networks, and contribute to technical excellence.
What you'll bring to the team
- Strong command of pricing techniques, and technical competitors benchmarking (tools, conditions, etc.).
- Proven ability to interpret complex data.
- Demonstrated success leading a pricing function in French P&C insurance, ideally within direct insurance (5–7 years).
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 5+ colleagues (3–5 years).
- Proven experience working in an international environment (1–3 years)
- Education/Certification: MSc/MA in applied mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related discipline (relevant certification required).
- Fluency in French and English (both written and spoken), as you will work daily in an international environment
