We are seeking a driven and highly experienced Claims Specialist to join our NSW Workers Compensation team. In this role, you will be instrumental in facilitating the return of individuals to work and health, leveraging your extensive knowledge and experience in Workers Compensation, along with your empathy and passion. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in coaching and supporting case managers within the team, providing expert advice on claims strategies and navigating complex claims. Your ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders will be crucial to your success in this position.

 

About the role

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of complex claims for government agencies.
  • Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders meeting Allianz’s service principles.
  • Determine complex liability decisions and timely assessment of treatment requests.
  • Appropriately document claims decisions.
  • Utilise claims management systems.
  • Develop and implement claims strategies that deliver positive and sustainable outcomes.
  • Meet key compliance and performance measures.
  • Coach and support newer team members and provide advice on complex claims

 

About you

  • Minimum 4 years’ recent experience as a Workers Compensation Case Manager or other personal injury lines (please note, experience must be within the last 5 years)
  • Detailed understanding of PIAWE, complex claims liability decisions, litigation and work capacity process
  • The ability to work autonomously
  • You have excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a customer focused approach.
  • You have excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt when changes occur.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
