As a Senior Case Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of complex personal injury claims, applying your technical expertise and strategic thinking to support positive recovery outcomes for customers.

 

Working closely with customers and key stakeholders, you'll drive effective claim strategies, provide guidance on complex matters, and play an important role in mentoring team members and contributing to business outcomes. About the role

  • Manage a portfolio of complex personal injury claims ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory, and Allianz requirements.
  • Develop and implement strategic claim management plans focused on achieving positive recovery, rehabilitation, and return-to-health outcomes.
  • Make sound liability and entitlement decisions based on thorough assessment of medical, factual, and other relevant information.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, employers, health providers, rehabilitation specialists, legal representatives, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support customers through complex and sensitive circumstances, providing guidance, education, and proactive communication throughout the claims journey.
  • Identify claim risks and opportunities early, implementing effective strategies to achieve sustainable and customer-focused outcomes.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to Case Managers, sharing best practice and supporting capability development across the team.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for complex claims, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and business projects.
  • Analyse claim trends and emerging risks, identifying opportunities to improve customer outcomes, operational performance, and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture through collaboration, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.

 

About you

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex personal injury claims, injury management, rehabilitation, or case management portfolios.
  • Strong technical capability and proven ability to manage complex claim scenarios, make informed decisions, and achieve positive customer outcomes.
  • Confident communicating with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues, including the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy, professionalism, and influence.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and effectively engage with a broad range of stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Comfortable navigating multiple systems and technologies while maintaining accurate records, managing workloads, and meeting compliance requirements.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting the development of others within a team environment is highly regarded.
  • Strong planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to balance competing demands and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interpret complex information and communicate it clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making capabilities.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, innovation, and leveraging technology to enhance customer and business outcomes.
