The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical claims management advice and collaborative consultation to ensure prompt and compliant claims finalisation procedures are monitored and adhered to. This is a 12-month contract role.

 

About the role

  • Work with other Technical Specialists and managers in ensuring the effective management of claims and advocate the use of alternate strategies as required to progress the claim towards timely finalisation.
  • Provide technical claims management advice by responding promptly and accurately to claim referrals.
  • Assist managers as required, in identifying and implementing new ideas, which create value for customer, staff and/or AAL.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the team’s financial targets and KPIs as per the relevant deed, services contract and incentive schemes.
  • Work closely with the Managers and Claims Managers to ensure that the team manages all claims in accordance with legislative requirements and common law practice.
  • Ensure that a high level of privacy is maintained in all interactions with other parties and in accordance with Allianz corporate guidelines and Services Contracts.

 

As a Technical Specialist, you will be required to:

  • Provide coaching on the application of relevant legislation, standards of practice, regulations, and policies and procedures.
  • Ensure data accuracy and adherence to regulatory and statutory timeframes within team
  • Supports in achieving relevant KPIs, outcome measures, and RTW targets
  • Review PIAWE, liability decisions, work capacity decisions and other forms of entitlements/decisions.

 

About you

  • Have 5 years’ experience managing complex matters within Workers Compensation.
  • Looking for long term career stability with opportunities to develop and progress within Allianz.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy, and compassion with the best commercial outcome for Allianz.
  • Able to work collaboratively with peers and a variety of stakeholders.
  • Act as an SME, experience in coaching and mentoring others.
  • Able to plan and prioritise effectively, organise tasks and manage competing resources and demands, displaying leadership through role modelling and encouraging these behaviours in others.
  • Able to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights, and evaluate options for decision making, providing coaching and support to facilitate the development of these skills in others.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
