Head of Finance Transformation

Lead the evolution of the finance function with a strong focus on financial reporting, management reporting, and capital management. This role ensures robust governance, regulatory compliance, and financial integrity while driving modernization of reporting processes and balance sheet optimization. Act as a key strategic partner in shaping finance capabilities that support business growth and regulatory requirements.

What you do;

Financial & Management Reporting

• Oversee accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting (statutory and group reporting) and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with LKAS/SLFRS/IFRS, regulatory frameworks, group accounting and reporting policies and other relevant local/group policies.
• Drive process improvements and automation for reporting function.
• Develop performance dashboards and insights for executive decision-making with robust analysis of financial performance.

Capital Management & Strategic Steering

• Drive initiatives to optimize the balance sheet and improve cash flow positions, ensuring liquidity and operational resilience.
• Oversee credit control processes and manage outstanding balances to minimize financial risk and enhance working capital.
• Implement strategies for receipting, collections, and payment efficiency to strengthen cash flows.
• Ensure that these improvements serve as a feeder for solvency capital calculations performed by actuarial function steered by the risk function.
• Collaborate closely with actuarial and risk teams to align financial operations with capital adequacy and solvency requirements.

Governance & Control

• Strengthen internal control frameworks across financial/management reporting and capital management steering from finance.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, group and local policies and implement continuous monitoring tools.
• Champion governance standards for financial systems and reporting platforms/processes.

Technology & Process Optimization

• Explore and implement automation and BI tools to streamline reporting and forecasting cycles.
• Promote data-driven insights for performance management and compliance.
• Support system upgrades and integration of reporting modules.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial strategy and performance.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with actuarial, risk, and finance operations teams.
• Communicate financial performance and capital strategy to boards and regulators.
• Mentor and develop high-performing finance teams aligned with future-state operating models.

What you bring;

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
• Academic qualification related to Accounting and Finance.
• Strong insurance sector experience is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience and experience of more than 5 years in senior finance leadership roles, including financial reporting and capital management.
• Expertise in Accounting Standards, SLFRS 17 and insurance-specific capital frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives and implement technology-driven solutions.
