Job Purpose
The Commercial Specialist – Life & Health (L&H) Product & Propositions will support the development and execution of the Products Strategy. The role is associated to both new L&H Products & Propositions and assessment of existing ones, based on the existing POG (Product Oversight & Governance) framework. For existing Products & Propositions, the role includes analyzing all products’ characteristics, defining margins for improvement, aiming to maximize the value of the services provided and simplifying the product portfolio while balancing the market’s needs with the targets set by the company. The job holder will monitor the competition and will proactively propose changes and improvements in the existing product portfolio to remain competitive. The job holder will also review, analyze and evaluate business processes, systems and end user needs associated to the Products & Propositions of the company. Last but not least, the job holder will document requirements and specifications, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to support and facilitate Products & Propositions associated strategies. The role reports to Commercial Supervisor – Product Development.
What you will do
- Own Product and Proposition Strategy for Life & Health
- Lead process for new Products & Propositions initiation, and development framework
- Lead Products & Propositions simplification activities in accordance to both global product corporate framework & guidelines and local market needs
- Drive product & gap analysis (proposition + process) to identify improvement areas while closely monitor competition
- Define infrastructure specifications and business analysis requirements and validate the functionality of implemented system elements (by creating & executing scenarios) during «User Acceptance Testing»
- Assess system post-production to ensure smooth transition to Service Management after go-live
- Monitor post-launch product performance in all sales channels (in pre–agreed time intervals)
- Suggest changes using analytics to support recommendations for improvement of products, processes & customers’ and partners’ experience
- In cooperation with the associated depts (Finance, Operations, Sales Finance etc.), understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any product changes and perform commission & incentive structure analysis to assess possible effect in product and process simplification
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate system and processes operational issues from sales perspective
- Participate as needed in the POG Committee
- Actively engage in activities related to the development, innovation, and enhancement of insurance products and services as defined by Allianz Product Lab
What you bring
Education and Experience
- University Degree in Engineering / Business Administration / Project Management or a similar discipline
- Masters / Postgraduate studies is considered an asset
- 3 years minimum experience in similar mid or large-scale projects preferably in insurance / banking / services and cross-functional teams in a multinational environment
- Knowledge of insurance products and local market is considered an asset
- Excellent command of Greek and English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Advanced use of MS office
