Role Purpose- About us

 

The Compliance Expert supports alignment with the company's objectives by providing comprehensive compliance assistance, coordinating the implementation of Compliance Programs, and working with relevant functional areas at Local/Rgional/Global level. Additionally, the Compliance Expert executes compliance activities within the respective area in scope, in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding for Data Privacy & Protection Governance of the Allianz Partners Group.
The Compliance  Expert  acts likewise as Topic Expert for a specific Compliance Risk Area topic (in line with the AZP Compliance Policy) for Allianz Partners contributing to Global Practice Groups or Global Topic Owner. 

This role is based in our office in ROMANIA.

 

Key Responsibilities/What you do

 

•    Compliance Monitoring and Advisory
-    Support the delivery of a comprehensive, accurate and timely compliance regulatory monitoring and advisory service within the respective area in scope in accordance with to all relevant regulatory controls, Codes of Practice and Allianz Partners' requirements.
-    Identify and monitor gaps between Corporate Rules and local regulations and align with global requirements.
-    Support the execution of the Compliance Programs and foster a culture of integrity, compliance awareness, cascade regular communication.
-    Conduct local Alert Handling for AML and Sanctions platforms in accordance with set SLAs for the function.
-    Coordinate Compliance activities within the respective area in scope, aligning with strategic business development and required governance architecture while at the same time implementing harmonized compliance tasks, procedures and tools.
-    Manage local incident handling.
-    In respect to dedicated Topic expertise, monitor and assess relevant legal, regulatory, and AzSE Group developments evaluate impact as necessary.
•    Quality Assurance
-    Contribute to global Compliance Quality Assurance activities, including the identification and analysis of key Compliance risks and to the establishmentt of controls to mitigate them.
-    Collaborate with Global Topic Owners to perform Compliance Risk Assessments in accordance with Allianz Partners' requirements.
-    Identify as well as monitor changes in and advise on areas of regulation which impact on the business, aligning compliance with business objectives.
-    Support the remediation of Compliance-owned local findings, ensuring timely and effective solution.
•    Standards/ Policies/ Guidelines/ Subject Matter Expertise
-    Instill  a strong Compliance ethic and culture within the business, ensuring that AzP recognizes Compliance as a critical safeguarding function (2nd Line of Defense).
-    Provide strategic oversight and reinforcement to Business Functions.
-    Support the development and maintenance of Standards, Policies, Guidelines, Procedures, Controls and Trainings designed to maintain AzP’s compliance with legislation, regulations, and codes of practice and AzP requirements for the Compliance Risk Areas.
-    Support provision of Subject Matter Expertise to the business for their implementation of Compliance related procedures and controls.
-    Provide oversight of status of business implementation activities on regular basis.
-    In respect to dedicated Topic expertise, contribute to the preparation of AzP Group-wide Policies, Standards and Functional Rules, assist in steering respective topic program efforts.
•    Compliance Trainings
-    Arrange additional Compliance trainings as required by local regulations.
•    Compliance Reporting/ Investigations/Data Analysis
-    Execute reporting input to the AzP Health Head of Compliance on a timely basis as required.
-    Perform Compliance investigations and enquiries (in conjunction with Legal,  Audit and other stakeholders as appropriate).


Key Requirements/What you bring

 

•    Experience in a Compliance/Risk Management/ Project Management environment.
•    Experience in the insurance or banking industry. Strong knowledge about risks and controls applicable to insurance business.
•    Experience of working internationally and within a matrix structure.
•    Understanding of relevant regulatory and compliance environments - including policies, laws and regulations.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify compliance risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical business solutions.
•    Experience in developing and delivering compliance training programs.
•    Ability to think strategically and align compliance initiatives with business objectives.
•    Strong project management skills to oversee the implementation of compliance programs.
•    Ability to work  independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and global compliance counterparts.
