Responsibilities
As a Consultant in the Data Protection Controls & Assurance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and safeguarding personal data across our Global businesses.. Your responsibilities will include:
Privacy & Data Protection Compliance:
• Inform and advise entities on personal data processing compliance.
• Monitor compliance with local data protection provisions and policies, including awareness-raising and training for staff.
Data Protection Monitoring, Advisory and oversight:
• Assist with coordination and steering data protection activities, harmonized procedures, tools, and governance practices.
• Participate and Manage Data Protection reviews of controls and processes, identifying gaps and best practices, and providing guidance on remediation plans to address identified issues.
• Conduct in-depth vendor screenings to evaluate third-party vendors’ privacy practices and ensure adherence to contractual and regulatory privacy policies and standards.
• Contribute to the coordination of on-site and off-site control activities in alignment with the established control plan to maintain compliance and mitigate risks
Risk Management & Quality Assurance:
• Identify and analyze key data protection risks, contributing to risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide input to Data Protection Risk Assessments in line with Allianz Partners' guidelines.
Standards, Policies, and Training:
• Promote a "Data Protection by Design" mindset across the organization.
• Provide input to update Allianz Partners Standards and Functional Rules.
Data Protection Reporting and Investigations:
• Assist with the collation, validation, and presentation of various activity reports within Allianz Partners
Key Requirements:
• Proficiency in English and French (spoken and written).
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and other global data protection regulations.
• Proficiency in data protection tools, frameworks, and reporting mechanisms.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Law, Data Privacy, Compliance, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Data Protection (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or similar) or CIA, CISA are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data privacy, internal audit, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in managing data protection frameworks and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in AI governance and Responsible AI principles is an advantage.
