The Operations Steering & Controlling department within the Global Operations (COO) function is tasked with overseeing and enhancing the financial and performance management processes within Operations. This involves strategic financial planning, budgeting, and analysis to facilitate informed decision-making and optimize global Operations performance. The unit plays a pivotal role in the organization’s success by ensuring financial stability, identifying efficiency improvement opportunities, and providing insights to achieve strategic objectives. Its scope encompasses the global COO across over 50 business units and all Lines of Business (LoB), with approximately 17,000 full-time employees.
As a Working Student or Intern in the Global Operations (COO) team, you will support the Operations Steering & Controlling department with various projects and management tasks. Your primary focus will be aiding management in preparing reports, presentations, and handling requests related to operations performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting management requests by gathering information, creating presentations, and organizing data for leadership.
- Assisting in the reporting, planning, and forecasting of Operations costs and productivity across different business units.
- Helping with project management tasks, including organizing meetings, tracking initiative progress, and facilitating communication across teams.
- Contributing to regular reporting and updates, ensuring smooth communication between global, regional, and local teams.
- Collaborating with various departments on ad hoc tasks and strategic initiatives.
Key Requirements/What You Bring

- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- A keen interest in project management and working on presentations.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
