Your Role
As a Database and Job Orchestration Expert, you will be responsible for the reliable operation, performance, and continuous improvement of our database and job orchestration landscape and support customers on implementing and maintaining the same. You will work in a dynamic international environment, contributing to globally used systems that serve millions of customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implementation of database and job orchestration processes, automation, blueprints and best practices
- Prototyping new and improving existing processes and job flows
- Performance monitoring, analysis, and optimization to support developers
- Close collaboration with development and architect teams
- Working effectively in a globally distributed, multicultural team across multiple locations
Your Profile
Required
- Solid knowledge of SQL and a strong conceptual understanding of relational database systems
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems, scripting and development (Perl, Bash, Java or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken English (C1 level or above)
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Experience with version control and collaborative development (GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Ansible)
- Hands-on experience with AI
- 3+ years’ experience in DBA, orchestration or automation
Nice to Have
- Experience in job orchestration (Control-M, UC4, Rundeck)
- Professional experience in relational database administration (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Experience with database monitoring tools and automation frameworks
- JCL (Job Control Language) - Knowledge of mainframe job control scripting to support the modernization
