The primary purpose of this role is to drive business plan and strategy with the claims team to meet targets, overseeing the delivery of claims services to clients to maximise financial objectives, and ensure internal and external compliance benchmarks are met.

About the role 

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality services in a timely manner to injured claimants to achieve organizational targets around revenue, customer satisfaction, and reduction in scheme liabilities
  • Encourage early and appropriate treatment and rehabilitation for individuals who suffer injuries in respect of which Motor Accidents Compensation Commission (MACC) bears financial responsibility in accordance with the Motor Accidents Compensation (MAC) Act
  • Maintain the integrity of the MAC Scheme by contesting inappropriate and/or fraudulent Claims and minimising claims leakages
  • Ensure the management of the MAC Scheme is cost effective, prudent, efficient, and equitable.
  • Ensure the engagement of service providers is appropriate, cost effective, and adds value to a claim and ensures that services are of a satisfactory quality
  • Ensure all elements of the MAC contract and relevant legislative requirements are met through the establishment and continual improvement of a compliance framework
  • Develop and implement innovative services and strategies to improve claims outcomes for the NT MAC Scheme and Allianz
  • Oversee the identification, development, and implementation of project and process improvement initiatives to provide continuous performance improvement and delivery of results to MACC

  • Fulfil individual risk and compliance related obligations, provide clarity on and monitor the team's adherence to relevant policies and procedures to drive desired behaviours and implement a proactive and risk-aware management culture.

 

About you

  • Extensive experience in CTP or Personal Injury Claims Management
  • Extensive experience in people leadership
  • Understanding laws, rules, and legislation governing workers compensation or CTP schemes
  • Demonstrated evidence of ability to partner effectively with business leaders and establish strong professional relationships across the enterprise
  • Ability to lead strategic planning activities to set financial and service objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
