Role description

 

Allianz Pet is entering the next stage of development and is looking to achieve major growth across its portfolio of brands, including market leader Petplan. Identified for ‘unconstrained growth’, the business is increasing pet insurance distribution across all trading models including Partnerships.

The Partnerships Development Manager will support the development of B2B partnerships in the breeder, charity and microchip channels. This role plays a key part in account managing existing partners and winning new partners to deliver mutually beneficial strategic objectives and increase lead generation for Petplan.  

 

The role requires pet industry experience and someone who enjoys connecting with people and driving performance through training, engagement and operational improvement. Being able to flex your style across a broad range of partner types in terms of channel, scale and objectives will be key for success.

 

Salary Information

 

Circa £50,000

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

 

About You

 

  Partner Account Management  

 

  • Own the forecasting, reporting and performance of allocated charity and microchip partners leveraging internal and external relationships, data insight and formulation of clear goals for each partner.
  • Develop and manage strategic joint partner plans where appropriate to secure long-term relationships and highlight the strategic importance of partnering with Petplan.
  • Lead review meetings with partners as appropriate to support performance improvement and ensure mutual success   
  • Ensure the delivery of a structured partner management framework including the provision of MI and the monitoring and action of opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure partner contracts are in place for allocated partners with a pro-active approach to maintenance and renewal and regulatory oversight 
  • Drive internal and external operational and process improvements to create the best possible experience for our partners

 

Channel/Partner Training & Engagement

 

  • Build and maintain a network of key stakeholders within Petplan’s partners and the pet industry more broadly
  • Attend industry events and assist with hospitality, logistics and materials as required to support breeder, charity and microchip partner engagement.
  • Work with the Charity Channel Manager to deliver the Independent Charity strategy growing lead generation through effective initiatives and increase the level of support available to these partners.
  • Provide virtual and face-to-face training to animal charities to support business growth

 

Winning New Partners    

 

  • Win new partners in the charity and microchip channels through strong industry relationships and the smart delivery of compelling proposals that meet individual partner needs
  • Oversight of the new partner end-to-end onboarding process for the partners you win.

 

Essential Skills

 

  • Proven track record managing successful pet industry partnerships
  • Experience prospecting and delivering new partners 
  • Self-motivated and confident in a ‘boots on the ground’ role
  • Hands-on working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to drive lead generation performance
  • Highly organised with an excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical skills and the ability to work with performance data
  • Collaborative and enjoys working cross-functionally
  • Motivated by driving partner and business growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator

 

 Desirable  Skills

 

  • Insurance experience 
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage with experience using Generative AI tools such as onsite Webchat / Chat Bot systems
