Role Description
We are seeking a skilled SEO Lead to join our dynamic team! This is an exciting opportunity to work with Petplan, the UK’s No. 1 pet insurer brand and our other Allianz Pet brands, contributing to our high-performing trading team. We are looking for an experienced and passionate professional who is eager to make a significant impact through strategic SEO and compelling content.
Salary Information
Circa 45k
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Define, develop and lead on delivering a SEO strategy that maximises visibility and drives new business sales.
- Leverage our multi-brand approach to achieve top positions in organic search results for high-traffic pet-related keywords.
- Lead onsite conversion rate optimisation of our key landing pages to increase sessions to start quote performance.
- Manage SEO roadmap alongside our media agency across technical SEO, on-site optimisation, content creation requirements and link building etc.
- Work collaboratively with Analytics and Insight Team to monitor SEO performance to understand impact of search ranking changes.
- Own our evolving strategy relating to AI overviews ensuring we monitor AI visibility, consumer search behaviour and impact to website sessions.
- Lead on regular content and SEO audits to identifying strengths and weaknesses to improve performance and overall impact on search engine rankings.
- Working cross functionally to devise content ideas across a range of formats, including web pages, blog articles, videos and infographics, and coordinating with content and creative agencies to deliver these.
- Delivery of technical SEO and digital outreach activities.
- Ensuring alignment and consistency in tone of voice and writing style.
- Work collaboratively with other stakeholders who indirectly influence SEO.
Essential Skills
- Experience of on-page SEO with a focus on content creation and optimisation using A/B testing tools such as Adobe Test & Target.
- Experience working with external agencies.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication with an eye for detail and proofreading skills.
- A working knowledge of Google and Adobe Analytics.
- Knowledge of SEO tools such as SEMrush and Google Search Console.
- Strong experience of using content management systems. (Adobe Experience Manager etc.)
- Passionate about content marketing.
- Highly organised with meticulous planning skills.
- Autonomy and accountability in managing projects.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with GenAI or AI, Copilot, ChatGPT
