As the Product Owner for Operations Excellence you will lead the design, delivery and continuous enhancement of Operations Products across the full value chain of Allianz Partners Health globally. This is a highly visible role that will lead a dedicated product squad to deliver customer focused solutions in support of our business strategy.  

You will collaborate closely with senior Operations and business leaders, internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure initiatives are well designed and delivered at scale and speed. The successful candidate will require strong Operations understanding with product ownership experience in a regional or global setting. Core deliverables will be focused on business centric solutions that are AI embedded by default and scaled globally.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Product Ownership & Delivery

  • Own and manage the design, development and continuous improvement of AI driven product solutions across Health Operations globally.
  • Lead a squad of technical experts including engineers and developers to ensure delivery in an agile methodology at speed.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed stories, acceptance criteria, rules and prioritised backlogs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to execute discovery testing and rollout activities.
  • Ensure digital solutions meet operational objectives, integrate effectively with existing platforms and scale across regions.
  • Maintain a clear roadmap of enhancements based on performance metrics, operations feedback, compliance requirements and user insights.
  • Act as a champion for AI driven transformation by demonstrating clear business value and adoption outcomes.
  • Build both an internal and external network to ensure that there is early awareness of both new and emerging technologies with business application.

Process Transformation

  • Partner closely with portfolio management and the business leadership to understand business objectives, validate opportunities and align priorities.
  • Lead workshops and design sessions to define solution scope, rules and decision logic.
  • Drive operational readiness, including user training, documentation and change management.
  • Support governance activities to ensure automation rules and decisions remain compliant, auditable and well controlled.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as primary liaison between the Operations functional teams, Operations Support teams, IT and vendor delivery teams.
  • Communicate progress, risks and outcomes to senior stakeholders through structured updates and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics teams, Operations Support teams and Regional teams to ensure solutions provide appropriate reporting functionality and meet relevant compliance requirements.

AI Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure solutions comply with group standards, global regulatory requirements and emerging obligations.
  • Identify potential compliance gaps in how AI tools and rules are used ensuring remediation actions where needed.
  • Work closely with Compliance, Legal and Risk to ensure proper documentation, transparency and monitoring. 

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle-time reduction, manual touchpoint elimination and accuracy improvement.
  • Monitor platform performance and user adoption to drive continuous iteration and enhancement.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and reuseable frameworks for future initiatives across Operations.

Requirements:

 

  • Degree or relevant professional qualifications in IT, Business Operations or other technical disciplines.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in operational improvement, business improvement, digital transformation or automation of which a significant portion of this time should have been spent leading product ownership.
  • Experience in regulated process industries where there has been a requirement to deliver AI enabled tools and automation solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning, and data analytics to effectively manage and improve the AI product.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skill, with experience engaging senior business and technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines in a fast paced agile environment.
