The Opportunity
As a Business Development Executive (BDE) in the Commercial area, you’ll play a pivotal role within Allianz Ireland’s Sales & Distribution team, partnering with brokers across the wider Dublin/Leinster region to win and retain business. Working mainly remotely, with occasional office attendance, you’ll take ownership of your portfolio – drive growth and retention, align with Allianz's strategic goals, and enhance broker relationships through proactive management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize growth and retention with your broker portfolio by identifying opportunities and supporting brokers to place and renew business with Allianz.
- Develop and implement strategic plans aligned to Allianz Ireland’s strategy – setting clear targets and tracking progress.
- Build and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with key brokers, acting as a trusted partner and the key point of contact
- Deliver optimal outcomes in target segments.
- Conduct performance reviews of broker relationships.
- Analyse broker data to identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve retention, profitability and customer outcomes.
- Represent and promote the Allianz brand and provide market feedback.
- Drive continuous customer experience improvements.
Key Requirements / Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in General Insurance (Commercial).
- CIP (Certified Insurance Professional) qualification.
- Proven track record of achieving goals.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of commercial lines of products.
- Full driving licence.
Desirable:
- 3+ years’ experience in Customer Relationship Management.
- Experience in Sales with a proven track record.
- Familiarity with local regulatory requirements.
- Relevant third level or postgraduate degree.
- Expertise in Data Analytics and / or Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies would be beneficial.
