The Opportunity

The successful candidate will join a team of experienced business development underwriters in the commercial motor team. Key responsibilities for this role are driving new business growth, developing strategic partnerships, and underwriting fleet insurance policies. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a strong understanding of the fleet insurance market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the fleet insurance market, focusing on medium to large-sized risks.
  • Manage incoming broker correspondence and calls to ensure customer service excellence is delivered.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the team, colleagues across the business and brokers to enhance business placement opportunities and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute towards continually improving quality & efficiencies within the team.
  • Ensure file management, processing and documentation issuance is done within SLAs.

 

 Key Requirements / Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • A minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial motor insurance (Motor Fleet, Motor Trade)
  • APA qualification a minimum requirement. CIP, MDI or ACII desirable **
  • Experience in business development or experience in growing a portfolio
  • Customer relationship management, including customer/broker FTF experience

 

Desirable:

  • At Allianz Ireland, we are committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements. While this role may not require specific expertise in Data Analytics or Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, having an understanding of their principles and practical uses would be advantageous.
  • Background in other commercial products an advantage but not a requirement
  • Proficiency in i90 and Salesforce
