About you- Program Manager


Allianz Partners Health has a unique and exciting job opportunity available for someone who enjoys challenging the status quo and seeking out creative ways to support the company`s largest platform transformation program – Iris. The candidate required will possess the right balance of technical project management knowhow along with influencing and relationship building skills necessary to drive the Iris Program to a successful conclusion and within challenging deadlines. Ultimately, this candidate will be the core liaison between our global business functions and the IT delivery partners, being comfortable translating the strategic needs of each department and ensuring an alignment exists between the project stakeholders.

 

The key responsibilities include: 
Program Management Excellence


•    Ability to manage and deliver multiple complex IT Programs of work in parallel, responsible for business benefit realisation at Program level and ensuring company strategic goals are delivered

o    Defined Life Cycle and Milestones: map and define phases, deliverables, key milestones and sufficiency criteria for each stage in the program lifecycle
o    Defined Organization, Governance, Systems, and Roles: establish program charters, with clearly defined structures, and roles for all involved 
o    Stable Requirements and Scope: requirements, objectives and scope are documented and stabilized 
o    Quality Assurance: Establishing and meeting agreed to commitments with a constant eye for improvement.  Ensure clarity on the standards and criteria to be set in each phase of the project life cycle for both the product and the process
o    Planned Commitments: Planning, scheduling, resource allocation and staffing, and budgeting
o    Scope and mission; define project boundaries, establish goals and objectives. Ensuring there is a clear business case which can provide a basis for decision-making
o    Scheduling; capacity planning and evaluation, evaluation of activity sequences and duration plus resource requirements to create the project schedule
o    Budgeting: development of an overall cost estimate based on individual work items to be used as a cost baseline for measuring project performance
o    Personnel: Determine the recruitment, selection, and training of project team members
o    Evaluation and control: provide a complete and transparent picture of the project’s progress
o    Risk and problems: Systematically identifying, assessing and managing risks, issues, assumptions and decisions. Being proactive rather than reactive for possible future disruptive events
o    Quality: Ensuring the delivered products meets expectation

 

Strategy Alignment:
•    Align programs with the overall business strategy through strategic planning processes.
•    Collaborate with business leaders on strategic program planning and initiative prioritization

 

Project Methodologies:
•    Ensure adherence to project methodologies (Agile), delivery processes, and implementation management processes

 

Stakeholder Engagement:
•    Engage with executive-level stakeholders across the business.
•    Foster strong relationships with business sponsors, key stakeholders, business analysis, development, and testing teams

 

Communication:
•    Provide clear and concise program communication to company executives & Senior Leaders

 

Team Leadership:
•    Foster a positive, open, and supportive leadership environment within Organizational Management (OM).
•    Promote team spirit and engagement.   Build a team of empowered, self-sufficient professionals

 

Team Management:
•    Attract and hire top talent.
•    Standardize team objectives and measures.
•    Maximize team potential and focus on development plans for high potentials.
•    Strengthen consequence management to address performance issues without impacting team morale

 

Experience Required:
•    15+ years of Program management experience, managing complex IT programs, be able to demonstrate how run programs parallel. 
•    Strong stakeholder executive management and communication skills 
•    Experienced people manager 
•    Degree-level education.
•    Knowledge of the Financial Services/Insurance Industry.
•    Experience in both waterfall and agile project delivery.
•    Project Management Training (e.g., PMI) is advantageous.
•    Top-tier consulting experience is a plus.

Ideal Candidate: The role is suited for an ambitious, dynamic, and autonomous professional with a strong IT background, senior leadership experience, and the ability to engage with C-Suite executives and global board members. The candidate should be capable of managing multiple IT projects concurrently, thrive under pressure, and possess a background in financial services.

•    Significant travel may be required to support business needs.
