Senior Pricing Actuary

In this context the pricing team within CUO drives the global implementation of costing and pricing excellence in terms of tools and methodology for P&C and L&H reinsurance. To advance with this approach, Allianz Re is seeking an experienced reinsurance Pricing Actuary to actively shape and reposition the Group's reinsurance pricing capabilities
This role will be based in Dublin with significant interaction across the global pricing team, with travel opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
As a senior pricing actuary, a particular focus will be on the integration of new technologies to contribute to the continued development of actuarial methodology. In this role you will define reinsurance pricing excellence and share knowledge with various stakeholders (e.g. in Underwriting and IT) to drive excellence achievement:
- Provide and support Treaty reinsurance pricing excellence to Underwriting function.
- Treaty Reinsurance pricing excellence development on topics like underwriting data requirements, risk modeling, and in particular the full end-to-end pricing landscape implementation into the internal UW system.
- Deep understanding of Reinsurance Pricing Methodology, KPIs and continuous improvement of Allianz Re Reinsurance Pricing Landscape.
- Offer actuarial pricing consulting to cross-functional areas within Allianz Re, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and training of pricing methodologies to Underwriters and cross-functional teams, acting as a mentor and trainer.
Key Requirements / Skills & Experience
Qualification
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a related field. Actuarial qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.
- Strong data literacy and proved experience in working with data systems and reporting.
- Experienced in pricing and simulation methodology in (re)insurance.
- Advanced knowledge in development and optimization of Pricing and Capital Models.
- Excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken), German would be a plus.
Experience & Key Skills
- Over 5 years of pricing experience in a leading (re)insurance company with a specific focus on pricing and risk modelling.
- Outstanding analytical capabilities, combined with flexibility, creativity, strong proactivity and willingness to innovate and improve.
- Strong modelling skills with proficiency in tools such as Igloo.
- Ability to work in a team, mentoring of team members in all technical and non-technical aspects and the ability to act as trainer for cross-functional audience.
